NFL Injury Report 2024-25 Ahead Of The Week 18 Games: Tua Tagovailoa & More
It is here. We have made it. The final week of the NFL regular season, Week 18. The ups and downs of the injury report, the hills players ran (and didn’t) to get onto the field each week was a great pleasure to track. But as the regular season comes to a close, the final injury report does too. At least of the regular season because our journey together will continue on into the postseason, just with far less teams. Let's dive into what we’re looking at for Week 18.
NFL Week 18 Injury Report: Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts Injury Update - Concussion
The Philadelphia Eagles have ruled Jalen Hurts out with a concussion. Kenny Pickett is also listed as questionable.
Tua Tagovailoa Injury Update - Hip
Despite practicing on a limited basis this week, Tua Tagovailoa is not playing in Week 18 due to a hip issue that will keep him out for a second consecutive week. Tagovailoa said if the Dolphins somehow sneak into the postseason, he’ll be available.
Anthony Richardson Injury Update - Back
After not practicing all week, the Colts have officially ruled out Anthony Richardson with a back issue. What a messy situation in a messy season for the Colts quarterback.
Derek Carr Injury Update - Hand
Derek Carr’s pursuit of a return has been shut down as he’s not going to be active for Week 18. He was unable to practice all week long.
Drake Maye Injury Update - Hand
Drake Maybe practiced on a limited basis all week long and is listed as questionable, but it looks as if he’s going to suit up and play. If the Patriots win, they will likely not be picking first in the NFL draft.
Kenny Pickett Injury Update - Ribs
Despite not practicing all week long, the Eagles have not officially ruled Kenny Pickett out yet. It’s been reported that he’s dealing with broken ribs so it looks like things are trending towards Tanner McKee as the starting quarterback.
NFL Week 18 Injury Report: Running Backs
Aaron Jones Injury Update - Quad
After practicing in a limited fashion this week and getting good news after their Week 17 win, Aaron Jones has been completely removed from the injury report and is good to go in Week 18.
Chase Brown Injury Update - Ankle
Chase Brown’s ankle injury came from him trying to stay out of the end zone last week and now his Week 18 status is in question in a game that Cincinnati can clinch a playoff spot in if they win and Denver loses. The team has listed him questionable for Week 18 as he was unable to practice all week.
Jerome Ford Injury Update - Ankle
The Browns had already ruled running back Jerome Ford out for Week 18, but as a formality, have now placed him on injured reserve, opening up a roster spot for someone else.
Alvin Kamara Injury Update - Groin
Alvin Kamara’s season is basically over, but the Saints are still leaving a slim chance at him playing as they’ve listed him as doubtful for Week 18.
Isiah Pacheco Injury Update - Rib
The Chiefs, predictably so, ruled Isiah Pacheco out for Week 18 but like head coach Andy Reid said Pacheco should be available for the postseason.
Tony Pollard Injury Update - Ankle
Tony Pollard practiced in limited fashion on Wednesday and Thursday but was unable to go on Friday. Even seeing Pollard on the practice field in any fashion has been a change, so it seems like Pollard will play, but we’ll see over the weekend.
Austin Ekeler Injury Update - Concussion
It’s been reported that Austin Ekeler has had a really good week of practice and that came from head coach Dan Quinn. The Commanders have listed Ekeler as questionable and are going to mull the decision over heading into the final week of the regular season with a postseason berth already clinched.
Kendre Miller Injury Update - Concussion
The New Orleans Saints have ruled Kendre Miller out due to a concussion and his season has officially come to an end.
Ameer Abdullah Injury Update - Foot
After being initially listed as doubtful due to his foot injury, Ameer Abdullah has officially been ruled out in Week 18 after not being able to practice all week.
Gus Edwards Injury Update - Ankle
The Los Angeles Chargers have officially ruled Gus Edwards out for Week 18 and will hopefully have him back by the time the playoffs roll around.
Justice Hill Injury Update - Concussion/Illness
The Baltimore Ravens have officially ruled Justice Hill out for their Week 18 matchup despite head coach John Harbaugh saying earlier in the week that he would be fine to play.
NFL Week 18 Injury Report: Wide Receivers
A.J. Brown Injury Update - Knee
After not practicing on Friday, the Eagles have officially listed A.J. Brown as doubtful for their Week 18 game that means absolutely nothing to them in the standings.
DeVonta Smith Injury Update - Wrist
The Eagles did not have many of their starters practice at all this week and they’re listing Devonta Smith as doubtful this week.
Tyreek Hill Injury Update - Wrist/Illness
After getting up to full in Thursday’s practice, Tyreek Hill didn’t practice due to an illness as well as his nagging wrist injury. He’s officially listed as questionable heading into Week 18.
Jaylen Waddle Injury Update - Knee
The Dolphins and fantasy football owners should feel good about Jaylen Waddle suiting up in Week 18 as he was able to practice in full on Friday. That’s always a good sign for a player's status, even if the team lists them as questionable for the game.
Chris Olave Injury Update - Concussion
Despite logging another week of full practices, it doesn’t seem likely that Chris Olave plays this season after being listed as questionable for Week 18.
Tee Higgins Injury Update - Ankle/Knee
The expectation is that, despite the questionable tag that Tee Higgins has been saddled with, he’s going to play in Week 18. If the Bengals win and Broncos lose, the Bengals are in the playoffs.
Ladd McConkey Injury Update - Toe
The Los Angeles Chargers have removed Ladd McConkey from their injury report. He’s good to go in Week 18.
Darnell Mooney Injury Update - Shoulder
Head coach Raheem Morris said that Darnell Mooney is a game-time decision, but nothing this week has suggested he won’t play with a division title at stake. Mooney is also eight yards away from 1,000 yards.
Deebo Samuel Injury Update - Ribs/Knee
Deebo Samuel has officially been ruled out of the 49ers Week 18 game due to multiple injuries.
Christian Watson Injury Update - Knee
Christian Watson was able to get back onto the field and do some things and is officially questionable for the Packers’ Week 18 game. He has a chance to play.
Rome Odunze Injury Update - Illness
The Bears have removed Rome Odunze from their Week 18 injury report after an illness kept him away from practice earlier in the week. He’s good to go.
Tyler Boyd Injury Update - Foot
The Tennessee Titans have ruled Tyler Boyd out for their Week 18 game with a foot injury.
Curtis Samuel Injury Update - Rib
After another week of limitations at practice, Curtis Samuel is listed as questionable for Week 18 due to a rib injury.
NFL Week 18 Injury Report: Tight Ends
Cade Otton Injury Update - Knee
Despite head coach Todd Bowles telling the media that Cade Otton will be a game-time decision, it’s unlikely that he suits up and plays as he’s listed as doubtful heading into a must-win Week 18. He did practice on Thursday and Friday in limited fashion for what it’s worth.
David Njoku Injury Update - Knee
David Njoku was placed on injured reserve on Friday officially ending his 2024 campaign.
George Kittle Injury Update - Ankle/Hamstring
It’s still up in the air if George Kittle will play in Week 18. The guy just loves to play football even with nothing to play for. He’s battling through an ankle and hamstring injury.
Dallas Goedert Injury Update - Knee
Dallas Goedert was able to get in a full practice again on Friday and was removed from the injury report completely heading into Week 18. It’s important for Goedert to be out there heading into the playoffs. How long will he play here? That’s another question.
Chig Okonkwo Injury Update - Abdomen
After suddenly popping on the injury report on Thursday, Chig Okonkwo was unable to practice on Friday and is a true game-time decision heading into Week 18. He’s listed as questionable.
Hunter Henry Injury Update - Foot
Hunter Henry was able to log a limited practice on Friday and is listed as questionable heading into the final week of the regular season.
Juwan Johnson Injury Update - Knee
Juwan Johnson was able to practice all week, but just in limited fashion. The Saints officially list him as questionable heading into Week 18.
