NBA DFS Picks, Projections, Lineups, Injuries & More Today: Sunday Playbook

Yesterday was certainly a let down with Maxey but that won't stop me from going right back to him today in a great spot against a bad Bucks defense.  Maxey has a 32.9% usage rate this season without Joel Embiid and Jared McCain on the floor this season and if Paul George  misses his second straight game that only increases the shots for Maxey in this matchup.

FanDuel only play but as long as Jalen Suggs is out of the lineup we should be in for guards against the Magic. Cole Anthony has zero chance of defending Jamal Murray today and even if it ends up being Anthony Black, a bigger body, I still don't see them stopping Murray given the stretch he is having.

We often shy away from Lillard unless Giannis is out of the lineup but the last few games we are again being reminded why he is one of the premier scoring guards in the NBA. The price tag on DraftKings continues to drop and he's in a comfortable range for me to get him in my lineups today.

Reaves is having a breakout season but the ceiling level of his fantasy production is that much greater when one of James or Davis is out of the lineup. We saw Davis miss yesterday's game and if that ends up being the case today we should be looking to jam Reaves into our roster builds. 

Yes, the Wizards are 17-point dogs today but that isn't really a reflection on what Jordan Poole is capable of doing on the offensive end of the floor. If he can put together another shooting performance like we saw last night against the Warriors this game may stay closer than Vegas expects.

What's not to love about Anthony during this stretch?  The return of Paolo Banchero has done little-to-nothing to prevent him from being a productive fantasy player for our DFS lineups. We saw him score 23 points against the Celtics a few nights ago and drop 27 points against the 76ers two games before that. The Nuggets are not a great defensive team and I'd look for Anthony to get his shots today.

The return of Jerami Grant sent Henderson back to the bench but he still played over 30 minutes and put up another 50 fantasy points. The talent and upside here is undeniable and if they coaches are willing to give him the playing time, whether starting or off the bench then he is a going to have a nice fantasy ceiling.

The Clippers roster is in a strange situation today with Powell, Harden and Zubac all listed as questionable. From a price stand point we have to love that Powell cost just doesn't move. Even with Kawhi Leonard seeing a slight increase in minutes we aren't seeing the production from Powell take any sort of major hit. Until that day comes he will be a viable mid-range option.

The return of Jerami Grant does throw a slight hitch in the Portland rotation and while Sharpe has largely been the player unaffected, we do need to at least consider his shot volume could take a slight hit. That being said, this is an elite spot against the Bulls and on a shorter slate I think he is live for a big day. 

Good price tag for Oubre who continues to be productive. It will be interesting to see if Paul George plays or not today as that will help Oubre from a usage and fantasy point stand point but either way I think he is an all format play.

Williams has seemingly locked himself into a role where he plays  25-to-30 minutes on a given night. He does enough to fill the stat sheet to pay off his price tag but the Thunder are 17.5-point favorites so this one is likely going to get ugly.

In the event this game gets out of hand or if SGA ends up sitting out another game  we should look at Cason Wallace who is locked into 30 minutes and has a nice fantasy ceiling when the shot drops because he's already really god at filling up the stat sheet, averaging 25 FP over the last six games.

Listed as probable for today. LaVine almost didn't play against the Hornets on Friday but suited up and gave us another 40 fantasy point effort. The Blazers are not a good defensive team and I can see LaVine having another Lavine-esk outing. 

PG13 did not play in yesterday's game and he is considered questionable to play today. Of course, if he suits up, we will want our exposure here because he has a massive usage and fantasy point increase with Joel Embiid off of the floor this season.

Again, a game with a 17-point spread isn't exactly the most appealing but DDR has gone for 40+ fantasy points in back-to-back games and if Jordan Poole along with Kyle Kuzma can shoot Washington into a somewhat competitive game then DDR should benefit.

He comes off the bench and will play close to 25 minutes in his new role with the Bucks. It hasn't really hurt Middleton that much however with the Milwaukee forward averaging 29 fantasy points over the last three games over 23+ minutes.

Much like Cason Wallace, you can bet that Dort is going to see 30 minutes of action and he will be active when on the floor. He's gone for 30 fantasy points in back-to-back games and he is averaging close to a fantasy point per minute with SGA off of the floor this season.

There's obviously not much not to like here, especially on DraftKings where he is the top priced player on the slate. On FanDuel you likely are opting for Nikola Jokic and I don't blame you for that. Giannis had a 35 point double-double against the Raptors on Friday and against the 76ers on opening night he had 25 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.

He got up to 29 minutes against the Celtics and he's scored at least 20 points in all four games since his return to the Orlando lineup. If this game stays competitive it's likely because Banchero has a takeover game like we saw in his return game against the Bucks where he had 34 points and seven rebounds in just 26 minutes.

LBJ is always in play whether Anthony Davis is active or not. He has triple-double upside and the matchups are never really a concern. It certainly helps that Davis was out of the lineup and if that continues today then LeBron likely becomes the highest rostered player.

Boy, what a let down the other night.  With SGA out of the lineup we all flocked to Williams who finished with just 31 fantasy points over 37 minutes. The Thunder are huge favorites against the Nets today and if SGA is again ruled out I will be going back to the well. UPDATE - Williams is now listed as QUESTIONABLE for today.

Jordan Poole had the monster day but Kuzma was still good against the Warriors last night, scoring 22 points while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out four assists over 31 minutes.  He's been very inconsistent this season but the minutes have been good.  We just need him to find his shot attempts.

Grant returned to the Blazers lineup for the first time in about a month so it will be interesting to see when the injury report comes out today if he actually plays or not.  He saw 25 minutes against the Rockets and certainly looked a bit rusty, shooting just 2-of-5 from the floor for 16 fantasy points. IF he plays today I'm willing to go back here because the Bulls ARE NOT the Rockets and this matchup should put him in a better spot to be productive but man this dude needs to shoot more. 

Everything about Murray in this spot is good. The price tag on DK is pretty elite. The Wizards defense is trash and Murray should play a good amount of minutes. He's likely going to be my highest rostered King today.

So, FanDuel is interesting when it comes to Nikola Jokic because they do not have the double-double or triple-double bonuses which can equate to an extra five fantasy points over on DraftKings. Jokic has only finished with 54, 47 and 59 fantasy points over the last three games. That's not good enough at $12,600. So, why do you play him? Well, because the three game stretch prior to that he went for 80, 82 and 83. Which version of Joker shows up today?

He is going to absolutely dominate this matchup for as long as he stays on the floor. Again, we are looking at a 17.5-point spread here against the Wizards so there is a good chance they are up 20+ late in this game and he gets rested. However, IF Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma lead a charge that can keep this game within 10 points for 3.5 quarters then  Sabonis could go for 60 fantasy points.

Vuc went for 60 fantasy points against the Hornets. That probably shouldn't be too shocking since centers have been tormenting the Hornets since they were the Bobcats. The Blazers present a fun matchup for him as well, especially if Deandre Ayton sits out again as Rob Williams is on a minutes limited and Jabari Walker is undersized. 

While the matchup is tough against the Kings, we also know that Sabonis is not a good defensive player. Sarr is also really good at staying out of foul trouble. I'd be willing to give him a go here and hope the Wizards can make a game of it.

This price on DraftKings is super appealing. His minutes are back trending in the right direction and he's averaging 27.7 DK points over the last six games which is 5.5x return on his price tag.

With Jalen Williams now listed as questionable we likely lock Jaylin Williams into 30+ minutes here today. We saw the Thunder willing to us a small ball lineup with Jalen Williams against the Cavs but with SGA out of the lineup the other night we saw a more traditional rotation out of the Thunder which led to 30 minutes for Jaylin. The Nets deploy Nic Claxton so having Jaylin Williams on the floor to match up would make sense today.
