Happy Sunday in the NBA everyone. NFL Super Wild Card Weekend is in the headlines for the sports slate. However, the NBA has a great main slate as well for this Sunday. We have a four-game slate with a few great matchups. The first of which is the Los Angeles Clippers led by Kawhi Leonard traveling to Minnesota to take on Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves. Plus we have another Western Conference team in the Sacramento Kings taking on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Let's dive into our favorite plays of the NBA DFS main slate!

Top Tier Core Plays

Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/C, Milwaukee Bucks

I had trouble deciding who to put on the cover of the playbook today, and that's why I landed on both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Domantas Sabonis. Starting with Giannis, the most expensive player on the slate has been incredible as of late. Over his last 10 games, Giannis has finished with at least 50 fantasy points in all of them. But with his price at $11,600, you need more from him. But you can get more from him. He has scored over 60 fantasy points in six of the games including three games over 75. I am fine with paying up for Giannis, but it may be hard to feel good about your lineup because there isn't a ton of great value on this slate.

Domantas Sabonis, C, Sacramento Kings

Like Giannis, Sabonis has been on a tear as of late being just a double-double monster. Sabonis has had 21 straight games in which he has scored double-digit points and double-digit rebounds. This game should be played at a very solid pace with both teams ranking in the top-11 in the NBA. With that, Sabonis should have a ton of rebounding opportunities tonight. I am leaning towards building my lineups around Sabonis tonight.

LaMelo Ball, PG, Charlotte Hornets

LaMelo Ball came back from injury for the first time since late November. He has a very solid game in his return even though the Hornest lost by 36 points. Ball finished with 47.5 fantasy points on the back of 28 game points and five steals. It's unlikely he will get five steals in this one against a slow-paced Miami Heat team. Ball could supplement assists for the lack of steals however, because I expect that number to creep closer to the double-digits.

Bam Adebayo, C, Miami Heat

Bam is sitting at just $9,100 tonight and Jimmy Butler is likely out for tonight, and I just love that price. Bam's numbers don't change a whole lot with Jimmy out of the lineup this season. However, Bam has been very active as of late posting four straight double-doubles and four straight games of over 43 fantasy points. The matchup for the Heat in this one is great against the Hornets whose defense is very bad. Unfortunetly you just have to worry about blow out potential.

Mid-Tier Core Plays

Kawhi Leonard, SF/PF, Los Angeles Clippers

Kawhi Leonard is the most expensive Clipper on the slate tonight, but I think he is your best option. The Timberwolves play big with Rudy Gebert and Karl Anthony-Towns making that a mismatch for Leonard who plays the four on this Clippers team. Leonard gets a steady 15-20 shots per game and is consistently putting up multiple blocks and steals. With the price at just $8,500 tonight, I think Leonard is worth it.

Karl Anthony-Towns, PF/C, Minnesota Timberwolves

KAT's price is still sitting at 8K even after a couple of great games. Anthony Edwards is questionable heading into this one, and if Edwards is out, I believe Kat is a must-start. Even if Edwards plays KAT is still in play because he has scored over 40 fantasy points in three straight games. At that price point, you are hitting 5x value which you will gladly take.

Bradley Beal, PG/SG, Phoenix Suns

Bradley Beal is the cheapest out of the big three in Phoenix by a lot. He is going off his best game of the season scoring 37 game points in a big win over the Lakers. It was the first time all season he climbed over the 50 fantasy point threshold. He may not do that again, but 35-40 fantasy points is in play in a great matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. Let's just hope the Trail Blazers can keep the game close, to make him stay on the court.

Jaime Jaquez, SF/PF, Miami Heat

Jimmy Butler is trending toward not playing once again tonight, and that is good news for Jaimi Jaquez for DFS purposes. With Butler out, Jaquez has to be more aggressive, and his numbers take a big jump. His points per game go from 12 points to 16 PPG and takes three more shot attempts per game. With his price at just $6,400, he is a very solid play tonight.

Value Tier Core Plays

Jabari Walker, PF/C, Portland Trail Blazers

There isn't much value on this slate in my opinion at the moment. But Jabari Walker is my favorite play out of the bunch. His price is at just $5,200, and has played at least 25 minutes in four out of his past five games. The Trail Blazers are still dealing with injuries to Shadon Sharpe, and Deandre Ayton who is questionable. Walker is an energy guy, and as long as he is going to get 20-25 minutes he will grab close to double-digit rebounds. Walker has grabbed at least nine rebounds in four of his last five games. Play Walker tonight on a slate starved with value.

Nick Smith Jr., PG, Charlotte Hornets

LaMelo Ball has come back from injury, but Nick SMith's production and minutes didn't take a hit. The Hornets are ravaged with injuries right now missing Gordon Hayward and most likely P.J. Washington. Smith played 24 minutes in the blowout scoring nine points, dishing out five assists, and grabbed six rebounds. Smith has carved out a significant role in this backcourt, and I am jumping on the back of it tonight.

Haywood Highsmith, PF, Miami Heat

With all the injuries to the Heat, Highsmith has taken advantage of it returning to the starting lineup. He played 32 and 35 minutes in his last two games and scored 20 and 32 fantasy points. Tyler Herro could return to the lineup tonight hurting Highsmith's value if he doesnt start. If he finds his way starting once again, he may see extended run if this game ends up being a blowout.

Trey Lyles, PF/C Sacramento Kings

Trey Lyles is very, very cheap on this slate sitting at just $3,900 on DraftKings. He has played at least 21 minutes off the bench in three straight games as the primary backup big off of the bench. Unfortunately, he hasn't produced a ton as he is just five of his last 16 from the floor. In a higher-paced game against the Bucks tonight, Lyles should have a few more opportunities for rebounds and more scoring. If he hits his shots tonight, he could get you 20-25 fantasy points.

Roster Lock News & Notes

  • Tyler Herro is in for the Heat
  • Khris Middleton is out, and Giannis was a mid-day downgrade to questionable.
