Cody Martin (groin) and Monte Morris (back) are probable to play against the Raptors on Monday.
Martin didn’t see the floor on Friday, which was the first time he was cleared to play since being traded to Phoenix. However, he logged eight minutes off the bench on Sunday. Morris hasn’t played in over a month, though that wasn’t always because of this back injury, though that has kept him sidelined recently. Both players are expected to be available, but neither is expected to play a significant role, if they see the floor at all.
Cody Martin (groin) is available for Friday’s game against the Kings.
Martin will take his long-awaited Suns debut on Friday, providing additional depth on the wing. He wasn’t much of a fantasy asset with the Hornets, and that’s unlikely to change immediately in Phoenix. Martin’s addition likely makes it even more difficult for Ryan Dunn to get back into the rotation.
Cody Martin (groin) is questionable to play against the Kings on Friday.
Suns coach Mike Budenholzer said Saturday that Cody Martin (groin) remains without a timeline for return.
Acquired from the Hornets along with Vasilije Micic at the trade deadline, Martin has yet to make his Suns debut due to a sports hernia. And by the sound of Budenholzer’s update, it’s unknown when that will change. “He’s putting work in,” Budenholzer said. “I think he’s making progress, but I don’t have an update on his expected return time. I think we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.” Given the lack of a return timeline, there’s no reason why Martin should be rostered in fantasy leagues.
