NBA Best Bets Today, 4/12: Predictions, Picks, Props, & Odds On Friday
Finally, a three-bet win day! It felt as though we were the mid-season Detroit Pistons and were headed the wrong way fast, but actually it was just a few days. No Meat Loaf for a few days makes Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets a little cranky. Winning three of four bets is a way to fix that.
Three of four bets were won in my NBA picks piece yesterday, and the bet that lost will return $38.00. If you placed a $25.00 wager on the ‘Threesday’ bet, then you technically won $13.00. So, although yesterday was not a sweep, all four bets placed returned a profit… Perhaps it is a mop.
NBA Predictions & Picks Today, 4/12
Today is special across the Association, as it is the second to last day of regular season games. All 30 teams are playing today, 15 total games. There are several positional battles taking place and we, as NBA fans, should be thankful for Evan Wasch.
He navigated the most difficult schedule-making season across any sport. He led a team through an In-Season Tournament, sharing arenas with NHL teams, NCAA March Madness, local events, and still delivered end of the season games with direct impact on the playoffs. Now let's make money off of this beautiful schedule.
The late game features the Phoenix Suns at Sacramento Kings, and the latest start time of the night, 10:30 PM ET. It also possesses the Bet of the Night, which is first up on today’s NBA picks.
NBA Parlay Today: Phoenix Suns -5 + Devin Booker 20+ Points + Jusuf Nurkic O11.5 Rebounds (+280 NBA Odds Boosted To +336 SGP At DraftKings Sportsbook)
This is the highest positive odds prop of the night, and it requires three things to be successful. It is a true combination of requirements, two bets and a spread. The Phoenix Suns play the Sacramento Kings who are playing in the second of back-to-back games. The Suns are desperately attempting to get out of the play-in tournament and are currently one game behind the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Sacramento Kings are currently in a three-way tie for eighth place but could be resting an already injured team. The -5 seems like the easier fold, despite the Suns not playing great lately.
Devin Booker has been a scoring machine, averaging 29.8 points per game this month, and has really found his groove since being healthy. He has been the more efficient point guard, attacking the rim on fast breaks, getting easy buckets, and going to the foul line. His points have been majorly teased down just to cover a potential blowout.
Jusuf Nurkic has been added to this parlay at his rebounding line, 11.5. His over has been taken because as great as Domantas Sabonis is, we bet against him yesterday, and it was successful. Nurkic has 73 rebounds in six games this month, an average of 12.2 per game. He has covered this prop in three of his last five games and should again. The Suns have to win this game to prevent a scenario where they could move to the ninth spot. A parlay that has potential for a big payout.
NBA Props & Best Bets Today, 4/12
There are SO MANY possible bets today, one could be tempted to lay over a dozen bets on the NBA alone. Discipline is a must in times that require it, and Fantasy Alarm has four other NBA predictions to jump into the weekend. They’re all of the NBA props respect, and three of those four bets are at positive odds.
Victor Wembanyama Props: Over 10.5 Rebounds + Over 3.5 Blocks (+200 At DraftKings Sportsbook)
You know him, you love him. The twenty-year-old sensation, Victor Wembanyama, is back for possibly his last appearance in Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets this season. The young man has carried us to several units this season, and we are looking for him to deliver one more time.
His blocks and rebounds have been combined for an outstanding +200 line on a Same Game Parlay. He had one of his best games of his career at Ball Arena on April second. He recorded 23 points, 15 rebounds, nine blocks, eight assists in just under 34 minutes of playing time. So close to a quadruple-double.
If he replicates those numbers, this will be an easy cover for the rookie. He averages 10.6 rebounds per game and has covered this rebounding line in three of four games played this month. Wembanyama has 252 blocks this year; simply amazing! He has seven or more blocks in three games played this month, including the nine against Denver. Four blocks seem a bit low for the line.
This is our guy, and our guy looks to take us out with a double-unit gain!
Isaiah Hartenstein Props: Under 8.5 Rebounds (+110 At DraftKings Sportsbook)
Next up for NBA predictions today we have Isaiah Hartenstein, who has been a Fantasy Alarm favorite too. Unlike Victor Wembanyama who we’ve exclusively taken the over on, Hartenstein has been a successful over and under bet. Tonight, we are on his under 8.5 rebounds at positive odds.
Hartenstein has recorded ten or more rebounds in his last two of three games this month. But he has recorded less than eight in six of his last nine games, and there is a good opportunity that happens again.
The New York Knicks are currently third in the Eastern Conference. They do have an opportunity to move into the second seed, as a win tonight could move them into a tie with the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks play the Oklahoma City Thunder who should easily beat them without Giannis Antetokounmpo and are currently 11-point favorites.
But there is a good opportunity for the Knicks to blowout the Brooklyn Nets tonight. That is one possible outcome that could prevent Hartenstein from earning nine rebounds.
Also, the Knicks played last night in a statement win versus the Boston Celtics. Hartenstein played his most minutes in over two months, and he could have reduced minutes tonight. The Knicks have a healthy lineup and Mithcell Robinson and Precious Achiuwa could play significant minutes.
Hartenstein has cashed on his last two under rebound bets and this should be tic-tac-toe.
Rudy Gobert Props: Over 12.5 Rebounds (-120 At DraftKings Sportsbook)
Rudy Gobert has been one of the most reliable centers this year. He has played 74 games and is averaging 12.9 rebounds per game. He has the second most rebounds in the league with 956. The Minnesota Timberwolves host the Atlanta Hawks tonight and they allow the eighth most rebounds to opposing centers. Everything is shaping up for Gobert to earn 13 or more rebounds.
There are currently not any Clint Capela props, and the veteran could be sitting tonight, which would only help this wager. The Atlanta Hawks have secured the 10th spot, and they will not make it out of the 10th spot. The Minnesota Timberwolves are tied for second in the Western Conference and could move back into first or slip to third place. They truthfully cannot afford to take a game off.
Rudy Gobert’s rebounds this month are: 15, 16, 16, 6, 15, 14. This is one of the most consistent NBA props of the whole slate, as he has covered this bet in all but one game. Plus, a win tonight is crucial as they have the Phoenix Suns in the last game of the season. Look for Gobert to be aggressive on the glass and possibly have 13 rebounds in the third quarter.

NBA Bonus Bet: Pascal Siakam To Record A Double-Double (+126 At DraftKings Sportsbook)
*Bonus Bet From ‘Threes Made’ Utilized $72.00 ($38 & $34) In Bonus Bets - Yields $126.00
A bonus bet wager rounds out today’s NBA best bets. The combination from Tuesday and Thursdays ‘Threesday’ bets combined to $72.00, so a $50 bet has become a $22.00 gain despite losing the first three made bets. Today we lay it on the line for a nice gain as we root for one of our favorites, Pascal Siakam.
Siakam has won us several units since the All-Star break, and we are looking for a nice return tonight. He earned a double-double in the Indiana Pacers last game versus Cleveland Cavaliers on March 18th. His rebounding line is set at 8.5, and the Cavs allow the 12th most rebounds to opposing forwards.
Both of these teams are playing for something, and Cleveland has Donovan Mitchell back, which tilts the court. However, Pascal Siakam is arguably the Pacers best scorer and rebounder. A competitive game favors this bet, and his double-double is independent of the final score. Pacers head coach Rick Carlise is a future Hall of Fame coach, and he will design plays for Siakam offensively. Siakam will use his experience and length to get 10+ rebounds too.
Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen of the Cleveland Cavaliers are excellent rebounders, but so is Siakam. Siakam has another advantage over them as well, he has the heart of a champion. The heart of a champion will be on display in what is essentially a play-in game for the Indiana Pacers.
