Happy Juneteenth! Let’s start the week off strong with some winning MLB DFS Lineups. We have a fairly full day of baseball this Monday. We are going to be focused on the 7-game main slate kicking off at 7:05 PM EST on both DraftKings and FanDuel. There are some exciting pitchers taking the mound today, highlighted by Corbin Burnes, Hunter Brown, Merrill Kelly, and the re-emergence of James Paxton. There are some decent value options today that we will get into! On the offensive side, some of my favorite lineups to target include the Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Chicago Cubs. Going to be an exciting day of baseball with another chance for us all to make some cash, whether you are playing cash games or gpp tournaments, so let’s dive into some of my favorite value options of the day! 

 

MLB DFS Value Pitchers

Andrew Heaney, Texas Rangers (DraftKings: $7,500 / FanDuel: $8,800) 

Andrew Heaney is in a bit of a bad stretch right now, going less than 4 innings in two of his last three starts. It is hard to find double-digit strikeout potential at this price, though. The Chicago White Sox are a decent offense but not one that I am avoiding, and they strike out a fair amount. While Heaney is certainly volatile, and there is a risk he has another bad outing, the upside is too appealing for me to avoid at this price. 

Drew Smyly, Chicago Cubs (DraftKings: $6,500 / FanDuel: $8,000) 

Drew Smyly has also been on a bit of a bad stretch lately, with a 6.04 ERA in his last 4 starts and only a 5.64 K/9. However, this also has brought his price down to the lowest he has been all season. While the Pirates offense has been hitting pretty well again lately, they can still be shut down any given day. We have already seen how good Smyly can be when he is pitching well this season, so at this price, I am willing to take the chance that he can put it back together today and give a good outing against the Pirates. 

MLB DFS Value Hitters

Nathaniel Lowe, 1B Texas Rangers (DraftKings: $4,100 / FanDuel: $3,200) 

The Texas Rangers are my favorite team to stack today, facing Jesse Scholtens and the Chicago White Sox. Lowe is one of the cheaper options to get the heart of the Rangers lineup, so he is great to include in any Rangers stack you may be doing. Batting third every day in this dangerous lineup Nathaniel Lowe is a great hitter and can provide a ton of value on any given day, and I like the odds that he stacks up a few hits here today. 

Kevin Newman, 1B/3B Cincinnati Reds (DraftKings: $3,200 / FanDuel: $2,700) 

Kevin Newman has been a solid hitter against lefties this season with a .916 OPS. Today he gets to face Austin Gomber, who has a 2.16 HR/9 this season at home in Cincinnati, which is the best home run park in the league. This should be a high-scoring game, and getting Kevin Newman at this price is a great way to get a part of it that should contribute without paying very much. 

Leody Taveras, OF Texas Rangers (DraftKings: $3,100 / FanDuel: $3,100) 

The only person that has more home runs over the last 10 days than Leody Taveras is Shohei Ohtani. Over the last ten games, Taveras has a 1.178 OPS, along with 5 home runs and 2 stolen bases. He is red-hot right now and, at this price, is another fantastic addition to any Rangers stack or even to play as a one-off option. I am sure this power streak won’t keep up forever, but at this price, I am willing to ride along while it continues. 

Randal Grichuk, OF Colorado Rockies (DraftKings: $3,900 / FanDuel: $2,900) 

If you are taking the Colorado Rockies outside of Coors, playing in Cincinnati is the best place to get them being easily the best hitter's park outside of Colorado and being an even better home run park than Colorado. Brandon Williamson has a 1.99 HR/9 on the season, and Randal Grichuk is my favorite pick on the Rockies to send one into orbit today in this matchup. Even if he doesn’t go deep, there is a great chance that Grichuk can return this value today in Cincinnati.
