Jonathan Aranda MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

Because he sits against the tougher lefties, Aranda is one of the more underrated hitters on this Rays team. But against a righty like Jose Berrios? Yes, please. Aranda is sporting a .468 wOBA against righties, which comes with a .267 ISO, and his K-rate is below 20 percent. He’s got 14 hits over his last nine games, and the four runs scored and five RBI have me leaning on his HRR stat-line today. Meanwhile, Berrios is allowing lefthanded hitters to post a .354 wOBA against him, and for those BvP lovers out there, Aranda is 4-for-8 with two HR and three RBI against him.

Kyle Tucker MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Higher Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBI

I’ve got no problem riding the Kyle Tucker train over and over again as he continues on his MVP-caliber season on the North Side of Chicago. Especially against a soft righthander like Valente Bellozo. Who? Exactly. Bellozo actually shocked the world when he tossed 5.1 scoreless frames with seven strikeouts against the Dodgers, but I’m VERY skeptical of him here against a Cubs team that mashes with a .331 wOBA against righties. Tucker is one of the leaders of this club and his .382 wOBA with a .239 ISO against righthanded pitching stands out like a turd in a punchbowl going up against Bellozo who allows lefty hitters a .436 wOBA. You feeling me through all these numbers?

Andrew Abbott MLB Underdog Fantasy Pick: Lower Than 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed

I know the game is being played in Great American Smallpark, but these White Sox are just not a good team. Maybe not as bad as the Rockies, but still pretty darn close. They have a .265 wOBA with a 24.1-percent strikeout rate against southpaws this season, and they aren’t hitting for any real power either, as evidenced by the .106 ISO. He may not go deep into games, but Abbott hasn’t allowed more than one earned run in four of the five starts he’s made this season. We’ll lock him in to maintain that level here against the White Sox.
