Due to the upcoming All-Star Break, this will be the last MLB DFS until Friday.

Therefore, it's more likely that the usual everyday starters (and catchers) will close out today's game on a Sunday afternoon.

Make sure to check out today's MLB playbook below before you get your lineups in on DraftKings and FanDuel as we present our MLB DFS picks for today, July 14th!

MLB DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, July 14

MLB Weather Today, 7/14

It's more likely that any storms will miss the ballpark in Philadelphia. However, if a storm hits the ballpark, we could look at a very long delay. It's unlikely it will, but keep that in mind.

This game has an even lesser chance of being delayed due to rain.

There are some downpours in Detroit, but it doesn't look like any rain will hit during the actual game.

Some storms will hit after the game but should be good to go during the game.

MLB DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

While Nick Lodolo looks like the best starter on the slate, if you want to add more premier bats, I don't think Jose Quintana will be far off from the same production as Lodolo.

I'd be happy to use both of those starters in DraftKings, and I think you can't go wrong with Quintana as a low-tier option if you want.

Finally, there are many stacks to consider for the slate. Make sure you've got at least two from different games.

Core MLB DFS Pitchers

Nick Lodolo, Cincinnati Reds

Nick Lodolo has struggled in some areas over the last 30 days. He really hasn't been very consistent.

That said, he's taking on a Marlins squad that has hit a .072 ISO and wOBA of .276 against lefties over the last month.

The Marlins' projected lineup has struck out 29.3% of the time against lefties in the last 30 days and has walked only 7%.

Other than Bryan De La Cruz, there are no threats in the Miami lineup.

Meanwhile, Lodolo has added 23.1% of strikeouts against righties in the last 30 days and has earned more than 51% of ground balls against his last 52 righties. The Marlins will probably have six righties in today's lineup.

Lodolo is essentially one of the best pitchers on the slate. But he's worth it.

Mitch Keller, Pittsburgh Pirates

Mitch Keller has a really good matchup against the White Sox today. Keller has earned 29.2% of strikeouts against lefties and a .127 ISO and wOBA of .302 against righties over the last 30 days.

He's been able to get outs against both sides consistently.

Keller will face a White Sox lineup that has struck out 23.4% of the time against righties over the last 30 days. Chicago's projected lineup also hit a .118 ISO and wOBA of .275 against righties.

Additionally, the White Sox have only worked 6.7% of walks over the last 30 days against righties.

Keller should be in line for a quality start against the lowly White Sox.

Jake Irvin, Washington Nationals

Jake Irvin has been sensational against righties over the last month. He's allowed a .000 ISO and wOBA of .183 to his previous 59 righties. That's a substantial sample size with ridiculous stats.

Irvin has also added 27.1% of strikeouts against righties and has allowed only 10.3% of line drives.

Despite being a right-handed pitcher, he'll probably face more righties than lefties in the Milwaukee lineup. Irvin has struggled more against lefties, but his only threat is Christian Yelich.

The Brewers' lineup as a whole has hit a .123 ISO and wOBA of .310. That's nothing to rave about. Irvin looks good on paper.

Jose Quintana, New York Mets

Jose Quintana has a ton of value today. He's a left-handed pitcher who has held his last 88 righties to a .052 ISO and wOBA of .198.

Quintana will likely face right righties in the Colorado lineup. Those eight lefties have struck out 28.3% of the time against lefties over the last 30 days.

In the potential Colorado lineup, the Rockies have six batters striking out more than 30% of the time against lefties. Quintana's strikeout rate has also increased against righties over the last 30 days.

He's a true value play. The Mets are red-hot at the plate, and Quintana is dealing well over the last few games.

Recommended MLB DFS Hitters

Core MLB DFS Hitters

Kyle Schwarber, OF, Trea Turner, SS, Bryce Harper, 1B, Alec Bohm, 3B, Philadelphia Phillies

Ultimately, you can back the entire Phillies lineup, minus Bryson Stott and Johan Rojas

The rest of the lineup has crushed righties.

But we'll add the key guys to this list and everyone else at the bottom in the player pool section.

The Phillies are facing Joey Estes of the Athletics. Estes is a right-handed pitcher who has allowed a .212 ISO and wOBA of .358 to his last 108 batters. He has struggled against both sides of the plate and has earned just 22.6% of ground balls.

Expect power from the Phillies.

Kyle Schwarber has hit a .270 ISO and wOBA of .331 against his last 45 righties. Trea Turner has smashed a .194 ISO and wOBA of .393 against his last 66 righties.

Going down the line, Bryce Harper has nailed a .286 ISO and wOBA of .423 against his last 44 righties, and Alec Bohm has tallied a .197 ISO and wOBA of .378 against his last 86 righties.

Any of these four can launch one (or two) against Estes.

Jarren Duran, OF, Rafael Devers, 3B, Boston Red Sox

The Royals will pitch Brady Singer today. Singer has been dominant against righties but has allowed a .193 ISO and wOBA of .384 to his last 67 lefties.

Singer has only struck out 14.9% of lefties over the last month and has also added 11.9% of walks. In addition, Singer has given up 29.2% of line drives to lefties in the previous 30 days, too.

Jarren Duran will lead things off for the Red Sox. He's hit a .224 ISO and wOBA of .361 against his last 74 righties faced. Meanwhile, Devers has smashed a .404 ISO and wOBA of .492 against his last 65 righties.

Both have hit a high hard contact rate and massive barrel percentages against righties over the last 30 days.

Francisco Lindor, SS, Brandon Nimmo, OF, New York Mets

The Rockies will start German Marquez for the first time this season. He's coming off an injury, and it's unclear how deep he'll go.

Either way. Marquez had a .270 ISO and wOBA of .344 against 81 batters last season before his injury. He allowed lefties to hit a .326 ISO and wOBA of .351 with 37.5% of line drives.

The Mets will likely have a few lefties in the lineup. Right now, Lindor and Nimmo have been red hot against other righties. Lindor has hit a .222 ISO and wOBA of .388, while Nimmo has hit a .324 ISO and wOBA of .441 against righties over the last month.

Elly De La Cruz, SS, Noelvi Marte, 3B, Santiago Espinal, 2B, Cincinnati Reds

The Reds will take on Trevor Rogers of the Marlins. The lefty thrower has allowed a .156 ISO and wOBA of .320 to his last 89 righties. He's also only earned 16.9% of strikeouts against righties in the previous 30 days.

Beyond that, Rogers has allowed 39.1% of fly balls from righties over the last 30 days.

Elly De La Cruz, Noelvi Marte, and Santiago Espinal have all hit above-average ISO and wOBA against lefties over the last month. De La Cruz and Marte have high strikeout rates, but Rogers isn't a strikeout threat right now against righties.
