Mike Hoffman scored once and added an assist in the Canadiens 10-2 shellacking of the Florida Panthers.
Hoffman ends the season with a disappointing 15 goals and 35 points in 67 games. He came to Montreal as a UFA this season with high hopes but that was dashed quickly as Montreal sank to the bottom of the standings and remained there after going to the Stanley Cup Final last season. The good news is that Hoffman had goals in four of his last five games, so hopefully that bodes well for next season.
Mike Hoffman found the back of the net during Thursday’s 6-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.
Hoffman’s goal probably shouldn’t have counted, as he received a hand-pass from Brendan Gallagher before putting the puck into the net. There was a mix-up with the referees on the ice, who told the Flyers bench they couldn’t challenge the play (they should’ve been allowed to). In the end, it didn’t impact the end result of the game though. This was Hoffman’s first goal since Mar. 9 (21 games). He has 12 goals and 30 points in 63 games this season. Those are very disappointing numbers.
Mike Hoffman scored a goal and registered three assists in a 5-4 overtime win against Calgary on Thursday.
That's the most points Hoffman has recorded in a single game this season. He's up to 10 goals and 21 points in 40 contests.
Mike Hoffman found the back of the net in a 5-3 loss to Buffalo on Sunday.
