Will Montgomery
Player News
Bears have placed C Will Montgomery on the reserve/injured list.
A broken fibula has ended the center's season and will now leave the Bears with a choice. Matt Slauson filled in for Montgomery for the rest of the game but the Bears also drafted Hroniss Grasu in the third-round who could be ready to join the starting line group.
Will Montgomery has been diagnosed with a broken fibula.
This will effectively end Montgomery's season. Prior to his injury on Sunday, Montgomery was doing a solid job at center for the Bears, but it appears as though the team will look to Matt Slauson to fill the position for the remainder of the year.
Update: Will Montgomery has an ankle injury and will not return.
This is a big blow for an offensive line that was already missing its left tackle. This could hurt all of the Bears offensive players if Montgomery's ankle injury is serious.
Will Montgomery left Sunday's game with an injury.
The Bears are already missing starting left tackle Jermon Bushrod, so Jay Cutler and Matt Forte could be in for a long day if Montgomery cannot return. Rookie Hroniss Grasu is listed as the backup center.
