Stephen Morris

Released by Indianapolis earlier in the week, Morris didn't take long to find a new home. He'll be the only quarterback behind Russell Wilson on the depth chart, though Seattle figures to address that situation in the coming weeks, considering Morris went undrafted in 2014 and has yet to take a snap in an NFL regular-season game. His best-case scenario is a shot to compete for the backup job during training camp.

Morris backed up Scott Tolzien in last week's Thanksgiving loss to Pittsburgh. Andrew Luck is going to be back from his concussion and ready to play in week 13, so Morris is no longer needed.

Morris is the corresponding move to activating Trent Cole off the I.R. on Thursday. Morris hadn't appeared in a game for the Colts this season as being the third-string QB. He will now try and catch on somewhere else when he clears waivers.

Regular starter Andrew Luck is out with a concussion, leaving Scott Tolzien to start on Thanksgiving night. Stephen Morris will serve as Tolzien's backup for the contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
