At 34 years of age, Suisham is going to hang up the cleats. He tore his ACL and missed all of last season, but after being released a few days ago after a failed physical, Suisham decided this was the time to retire. He ends his career going 211-for-274 on field goal attempts, scoring 907 career points. Best of luck in retirement! Enjoy it.

The release came with a failed physical tag after Suisham reportedly suffered a setback in his rehab from a torn ACL. With Suisham gone, Chris Boswell is locked in as the kicker for Pittsburgh.

Shaun Suisham (knee) is expected to kick before the start of training camp.

Suisham is still recovering from a torn ACL on his non-kicking leg, but he should be able to kick again before the start of camp. Suisham is a reliable kicker who will reclaim his starting gig when he returns. He was 29-for-32 on field goal attempts in 2014.

Shaun Suisham has not been cleared to kick yet, he's still recovering from the torn anterior cruciate ligament and torn meniscus he suffered.

The Steelers had terrible luck with their kickers last season, beginning with Suisham's torn ACL. Whoever wins Pittsburgh's kicking job out of training camp will be worth drafting for fantasy; the Steelers were fourth in the NFL in points last season and Chris Boswell and Josh Scobee combined for 146 fantasy points, which would have tied for fourth among kickers.
