Ryan Clady
Player News
Jets have reworked Ryan Clady's contract to move his $2.5 million roster bonus to his base salary for the 2017 season.
This move actually took place back in December, as the Jets were going to be on the hook for the $2.5M in mid-February. Now, Clady's salary for the 2017 season will increase from $7.5M to $10M, giving the Jets more time to decide on rather or not to cut ties with the veteran offensive linemen who missed the 2015 season and played only nine games in 2016.
Ryan Clady suffered a torn rotator cuff.
Clady has been listed on the Jets injury report for much of this season but he's on his way to the injured reserve list due to a torn rotator cuff that he suffered earlier this season. The Jets offense has been a bit of a mess so far in 2016, and losing their starting tackle for an extended period of time is not going to do them any favors. The Jets offensive line has allowed their quarterbacks to be sacked 20 times so far in 2016.
Ryan Clady is officially active for Week 9.
Clady has been nursing a shoulder injury and was listed as questionable for the Jets Week 9 game against the Dolphins but it appears as though he's been cleared to play today. Clady's presence in the lineup will surely help out the Jets offensive line, who are facing off against a Dolphins pass rush that has sacked opposing quarterbacks 16 times so far in 2016.
Ryan Clady (shoulder) did not practice on Thursday.
The shoulder has been an ongoing issue for Clady, but he has managed to play through it thus far. He has played in all eight games this year and could very well be out there again on Sunday for Week 9. If he can't go however, there will have to be some shifting that happens along the O-line to get spots covered in the best way.
