Player News
Orlando Franklin (illness) did not practice on Thursday.
Since it's just an illness, Franklin should be able to get to full strength by Sunday and play in Week 16. If he's not, the already weak Chargers offensive line will be weaker, making Philip Rivers an extremely risky play due to the lack of protection he'd have.
Orlando Franklin (rib) was limited in practice Thursday.
The extent of the injury is not really known, though shouldn't be terribly serious if he practiced in some fashion. Franklin is the starting left guard so if he can't play, the Chargers will need to reshuffle their O-line.
Orlando Franklin is in concussion protocol. He was feeling much better on Monday according to head coach Miker McCoy.
After suffering a concussion in Week 9 against the Titans, it's shaping to be a true day-by-day process with letting Franklin suit up. With the Chargers having a bye week in Week 11, then it could give them a more clear option to sit him through the bye week if he's not 100 percent. Kenny Wiggins would be next up on the depth chart if Franklin can't play in Week 10.
Orlando Franklin left Sunday's game with an apparent concussion. His return is questionable.
Whether or not Franklin will play in week 10 is unclear at this point. This is not his first concussion. The Chargers are on bye in week 11, so Franklin may sit in week 10 to allow for extra recovery time.
