Free agent OL Oday Aboushi is a “candidate to re-sign” with the Chargers.
Aboushi started the Chargers' first five games before landing on IR with a torn ACL. The 30-year-old would give the Chargers a swing option with starting experience if they don't address offensive line in the draft. Aboushi will be 11 months removed from knee surgery for Week 1.

A career journeyman, Aboushi has played for five teams the last seven seasons. He made eight starts for the Lions in 2020, grading as the No. 26 rated guard out of 92 qualifiers at ProFootballFocus. With Forrest Lamp, Trai Turner, and Dan Feeney gone, Aboushi should step into a starting role on the interior with the Chargers.

The journeyman reserve made seven 2019 appearances for the Lions, including two starts. Aboushi turns 29 in June.
Oday Aboushi said he intends to play Week 6 despite a turf toe injury.
The Texans need all the help they can get up front and Aboushi seems intent on playing in Week 6. Aboushi and the Texans are going up against the Jaguars on Sunday.
