Marcel Reece
Player News
Marcel Reece (foot) returned to practice Tuesday.
He hurt himself during the wildcard victory over Detroit. He looks to be fine to go on Saturday against the the Falcons in Atlanta, but keep an eye on his status as the week progresses. If Reece is out of action, the Seahawks would be without a viable fullback option when they take on the Falcons.
Seahawks signed Marcel Reece.
Reece is a tough, versatile, running back with experience as a blocking fullback, a receiving back, and as a tailback running the football. He is accomplished at his craft after seven rock solid NFL seasons, so expect him to help out this Seattle ball club going forward.
Patriots worked out Marcell Reece on Friday.
Reece, who has spent the last few years in Oakland, was released by the Raiders earlier this week. The Patriots seem to bring in pass-catching running backs whenever possible and cannot get enough of them. All joking aside, with Dion Lewis on IR, Reece might just carve out a role in New England if he is signed.
Raiders have released Marcel Reece.
And we thought things hit rock bottom for Reece back in December when he was slapped by the league with a four game suspension for PED use. This definitely kicks that in the rear end as the seven-year veteran will be looking for a new team to catch on with. Reece scored 15 times for the Raiders during his tenure with the team and was always a reliable pass catching back. He'll find a new home rather quickly.
