Buccaneers are expected to retain LG Logan Mankins.
If Mankins doesn't return to the Bucs, it's likely he'll retire. The 34-year old can still get the job done and would be great to have in the locker room for the young Tampa team.
Buccaneers offensive guard Logan Mankins has not yet decided if he wants to play in 2016.
Mankins turns 34 in March, so he is certainly getting up there in age in the professional football world. He still has gas left in the tank as evident by his Pro Bowl selection this week, but his body may have had enough. If Mankins decides to retire, he will be walking away from $7 million dollars.

Mankins has been dealing with a minor back issue, but given the return to practice Thursday, it would seem that he will be ready to play Sunday. Continue to monitor the practice reports Friday and Saturday, but unless there's a major setback, he should be good to go.

Mankins is dealing with an knee injury, and the team may sit him on Sunday against the Bears. Mankins has been named a Pro-Bowl alternative, but will likely sit in Week 16.
