LaAdrian Waddle

Buffalo Bills - OT

Player News

ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques doesn't expect the Bills to re-sign OT LaAdrian Waddle.

This became obvious after Buffalo signed ex-Panthers OT Daryl Williams. Waddle missed all of 2019 with a preseason torn quad. He should resurface in a swing role when healthy.

Waddle, who suffered a torn right quadriceps during Sunday's practice, has been moved to injured reserve, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

The Bills moved to sign lineman Jarron Jones as they deal with a plethora of injuries on the O-line heading into the season. Waddle's campaign is over unless he works out an injury settlement with the team, but he's already been ruled out for four to five months.

Waddle has a torn right quadriceps and is likely out for the season, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Waddle was carted off the practice field Sunday following an incident that didn't look good, and Schefter's report confirms the injury likely has a 4-to-5 month recovery timeline. While Waddle, previously of the Patriots, was only in line for a depth role, it's yet another injury hit to a new-look offensive line that's struggled on the health front all summer.

Waddle was carted off the field during Sunday's practice after appearing to suffer a right knee injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Add Waddle to the list of banged-up offensive linemen for the Bills. After suffering the knee injury, he joins four other linemen dealing with injury. It's unclear how issue happened, but as reported by Louis-Jacques, Waddle was comforted by his fellow teammates before being carted off. Expect a report from the team in the near future regarding his health.
