Keshawn Martin
Player News
Keshawn Martin has signed a two-year deal with the 49ers.
Receiving and special teams contributions are what the Niners are hoping for out of the newly-signed Martin. He has 62 career grabs in four seasons in the league for about 660 yards. QB is an issue for San Francisco as are a whole bunch of other positions, so his signing likely doesn't put a dent in anything other than potentially kick returning.

Martin was released by the Patriots as they trimmed their roster down to 53. Now in search of a new home, Martin could very well find one in San Francisco, a team whose depth chart at wide receiver is laughably bad. Even if he does latch on with the 49ers however, he doesn't shape up as a fantasy asset with what looks to be one of the worst offenses in football.
Patriots released Keshawn Martin on Saturday.
Much like Gaffney, WR Keshawn Martin was vying for a final spot at his position on the roster. In Thursdays game against the NY Giants however, Martin sustained an injury in the fourth quarter. This appears to have shut the door on his time with New England, as he was released Saturday as the rosters got cut down.
Patriots have signed WR Keshawn Martin to a two-year, $3 million extension through 2017.
The Pats have reupped Martin after liking what they have seen in him over the season. Martin will be signed through 2017 and looks to be in the Pats offensive plans going forward. He could be a nice piece entering into next season pending where Amendola and Edelman are at in the league.
