Josh Scobee

After signing with New Orleans in March, the Saints have decided to release Scobee. This move leaves Kai Forbath as the Saints only rostered kicker.

The Saints have had 10 kickers in the last 10 seasons, and they have to hope Scobee will provide some stability. Scobee made just 6 out of 10 field goal attempts in four games with the Steelers last season, but he is Jacksonville's all-time leading scorer. Scobee will be worth drafting in the last round in the hope he and the Saints offense can return to former glory, but you may have to cut him after a couple of weeks.

Scobee struggled on Thursday night, missing two field goals that could have conceivably won the game for the Steelers. Instead the team avoided having him kick in overtime and took the loss as a result. Pittsburgh signed Chris Boswell to take over the place kicking duties Saturday, leading to Scobee being cut loose.

It was a very rough night for Scobee as he missed two field goals and was also passed up to kick the game winner in overtime. It's highly questionable whether or not he will have a job on Friday, but if he does, he will be on an extremely short leash. He should be left on the waiver wire in all fantasy leagues.
