Jeremy Butler

After signing with the Chargers two weeks ago and only catching one ball for 5 yards in their Week 9 game against the Titans, it's looking like they've decided to go in another direction at wide-out this week. Griff Whalen will get a slight snap increase with Butler being out this week.

Butler injured his ankle earlier in the game catching a pass from Philip Rivers. It's pretty unfortunate as Butler was added to the active roster just a few days ago, but he will not return to the game as the Chargers just regained the lead from Tennessee.

Butler was recently just added to San Diego's roster and looks to have caught the injury bug. He managed to catch a ball from Rivers, but was slow to get up and is being looked at by the training staff.

The amount of hits Chargers' receivers have taken over the last few years are incredible. The amount of random guys Philip Rivers has thrown too is at an all-time high. Butler will likely be worked into the equation slowly and could be ready by Week 10. Whether or not he becomes a factor remains to be seen, but he's only made 31 receptions over his three-year career thus far.
