Jahri Evans

Evans is a six-time Pro Bowler and six-time All Pro guard who has spent his entire career with the Saints before signing a one-year deal with the Seahawks this off-season. The Seahawks cut Evans at the end of training camp which opens the door for his return. Now 33 years old he is trending towards the back end of his career but he should still see plenty of reps along the Saints offensive line.

Evans spent his entire career with the Saints dating back to 2006 when he was drafted in the fourth round. However, the organization split ties with the offensive lineman in February and the 33-year-old latched on with the Seahawks, but was unable to make the team and was released early this month. The Saints are still looking for help at offensive guard which makes the reunion more realistic.

Evans established himself as one of the top offensive guards in the game over the past decade with the Saints, being selected to six straight Pro Bowls from 2009-'14 and starting 163 games between the regular season and playoffs. It seems the 33-year-old veteran might simply have little left in the tank.

Evans was just signed by the team on Wednesday but will see game action on Saturday. The first two days of Seahawks practice Evans has worked with the second team at right guard. That isn't likely to continue, however, as Evans will more than likely win the starting job by Week 1.
