David Cobb

Cobb was cut by the Titans at the end of training camp and was recently let go by the Steelers practice squad. This signing seems to be only for depth for the Bears at the running back position.

After trying out for the Jaguars last week, David Cobb was one of four to have tried out for the Browns this week. With Isaiah Crowell having a solid season so far, if Cobb were to get signed then he'll go-to the practice squad.

In his second year as a RB in the NFL, David Cobb has moved around quite a bit. After a time with the Titans, he was released back in August. He worked out for a few teams following that, including the New England Patriots. He eventually found a home a week later in Pittsburgh, but last Tuesday was once again released. This Tuesday he was seen working out for the Indianapolis Colts who have had some needs at the position, behind starting back Frank Gore.

Cobb played his rookie campaign with the Titans last season but once they acquired DeMarco Murray and drafted Derrick Henry, there wasn't much room for anymore running backs. Cobb is a talented back but hasn't found his niche in the league just yet. Jacksonville could use some running back depth as they aren't getting much from T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory thus far in 2016. If Cobb is signed, don't expect him to have any sort of fantasy impact, however.
