Chris McCain

The Saints claimed former Denver tight end John Phillips and waived McCain in a subsequent move. McCain bounced back and forth between the practice and active squad, so a potential reunion isn't completely out of the question.

Defensive end Chris McCain was released and will likely be hoping that he can get picked up by another squad in need of some depth in the front seven. He shouldn't be on your IDP radar at this juncture.

Even though the draft pick is "undisclosed", it won't be very high. McClain will slide into a backup DT role with the Saints just like he was with the Dolphins.

This isn't any sort of blockbuster deal seeing how McCain isn't much more than a backup defensive tackle. He's played in 18 games during his career and has made seven tackles and two sacks.
