Jaguars released DT Caraun Reid.
A former fifth-round pick by the Lions, Reid spent all of two weeks on Jacksonville's roster before being released ahead of Saturday's final cuts. He totaled four tackles in three games during his lone season with the Cardinals in '19.
Packers hosted free agent WR Devin Smith.
A former second-round pick by the Jets in 2015, the Cowboys recently waived Smith ahead of Saturday's final cuts. Although he only played 12% of Dallas' offensive snaps last year, Smith did flash his coveted pedigree in spiking 3/74/1 in Week 2 and 5/113/1 on the season. The Packers have a clear need at his position behind Davante Adams.
Reid (knee) is officially active for Sunday's game against Seattle, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Reid was bothered by the knee issue leading up the game, but as evidenced by this news, wasn't truly in danger of missing game time. Now that he's officially healthy, look for him to operate as a starter on the team's defensive line for Week 16.
Reid re-signed with the Cardinals on Tuesday.
Reid was just cut by the Cardinals on Saturday, but the team will need his services again with Rodney Gunter (toe) headed to IR. The 28-year-old last suited up for Dallas in 2018, recording 10 tackles and a forced fumble over 10 games. Reid figures to get some tread Sunday against the Browns, as the Cardinals currently have just five healthy defensive linemen for their 3-4 scheme.
