Brenton Bersin

With Kevin Norwood officially released, the Panthers had an open spot for Bersin on their roster. Bersin was waived by the team just two days ago but he went unclaimed. Bersin's been a contributor for the Panthers offense over the last two seasons catching 22 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown over a two-year span.

Bersin was the casualty of the Panthers needing depth at other positions. The Panthers signed defensive end Larry Webster from the practice squad to work as a handcuff for Charles Johnson, who is questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Bersin has played 25 games for the Panthers, but has only seen the field in Week 2 this season.

Bersin has played in 24 games over his first two seasons and a majority of them have come on special teams. Back in 2014 he was one of the teams primary punt and kick returners. He hasn't made much of an impact offensively, however, making just 22 catches for 227 yards in two seasons. Bersin will make his mark on the Panthers special teams. He has no fantasy relevance in any format.

The reason's unclear but it's not a huge difference either way. Bersin's behind too many people to make an impact this season.
