Texans waived DE Alex Carrington.
On Tuesday, former Buffalo Bills third round pick Alex Carrington was officially waived by the Houston Texans, effectively terminating his one year, $760,000 contract which included an injury waiver. In his six seasons in the league, the DT has recorded 39 tackles, four sacks and on forced fumble.
Texans have signed Alex Carrington.
Carrington is a depth signing for the Texans who are lacking a few key pieces in the D-line with J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney still iffy health wise. Carrington too has had issues with health in the past couple of seasons so the odds of him making the final roster is slim at best.
Bills have placed DE Alex Carrington on injured reserve.
A torn quad has now officially ended his 2015 campaign after starting in place of Mario Williams on Sunday. He is a free agent this upcoming offseason and could be in a new place at the end of it.
Alex Carrington tore his quad tendon and will have surgery on Monday.
It has been a disappointing return for Carrington in Buffalo after his terrible season in St. Louis with the Rams. He had just amassed eight total tackles and zero sacks this season. The 27-year-old played for the Bills from 2010-13.
