Jeremy Lamb announced his retirement from professional basketball.

The 12th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Lamb appeared in 573 games for the Hornets, Thunder, Pacers, and Kings. The former UConn standout averaged 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game as an NBA player, with the 2018-19 campaign (his last with the Hornets) being Lamb’s best.

The Lakers reportedly hosted a workout for free agents Jeremy Lamb, Shabazz Muhammad, Dwayne Bacon and Miye Oni.

The Lakers could use some more depth and shooting on the wings, but they have very little cap space, so this is the tier of players they can work with. Lamb could make some sense in LA, and he could possibly even compete for a starting spot, but he'll need to earn a contract first.

Updating an earlier item, Jeremy Lamb (hamstring) is now available for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.

Lamb went from out to doubtful to available tonight which is nice, but he's still not the most reliable fantasy option around.

Jeremy Lamb (left hamstring soreness), Alex Len (non-COVID illness) and Josh Jackson (non-COVID illness) have all been ruled out of the Kings’ game against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Lamb only made it through nine minutes of Monday’s game against the Heat before being forced to exit due to the injury, a game in which Len and Jackson were both absent from altogether. Lamb’s absence should mean more minutes for Donte DiVincenzo, who posted a 12/5/3 line with four treys and three steals in 32 minutes on Monday, and he’s looking like a must-start player this evening with so many Kings on the shelf. Damian Jones will continue to start at center and has been alright, while Jackson is a negligible fantasy option.
