Drew Gooden

Gooden is averaging under three points and exactly three rebounds per game, so his scratching is quite understandable. And not one fantasy owner cared that fateful day...

Gooden is dealing with an undisclosed illness right now and is likely to be held out of Thursday's game, given that the All Star break is coming up and he'll have extra time to get better and not infect the rest of the team. He's only averaging 12.9 minutes per game this season, so his absence isn't going to devastate anyone.

We fully expected Drew Gooden to be back from his calf injury on Monday night against the Celtics. He participated in morning shoot-around which gave us the indication that he will suit up on Monday night. Gooden does not have much if any Fantasy Basketball value at this point.

Getting Gooden back will add depth to the Wizard's front court. Gooden has not played since mid January, but will be a welcome addition to the forecourt of the Wizards if he can go on Monday.
