Ross' initial minor league agreement with the Rangers did not include an invitation to major league camp, but he has apparently impressed in side workouts and can now potentially get into some Cactus League games. Ross signed a minor league contract with the Giants back in January and was officially informed Friday that he will not be part of the 60-man player pool for MLB's planned 60-game regular season. The 33-year-old right-hander had a rough 6.11 ERA in seven starts (35 1/3 innings) with the Tigers in 2019.
