Sean Marshall (shoulder) is expected to begin throwing again in six weeks.
Write him off, people. At least for this season. The fact that he's not even throwing and won't be for another six weeks means that he is not going to be contributing in any fashion worth monitoring for fantasy.
Sean Marshall on Wednesday will have surgery to repair the torn anterior capsule in his left shoulder.
Marshall is undergoing surgery on his left shoulder for the second time in his last two seasons. He will be out for the remainder of the 2015 season, and will be a free agent come 2016.
Manager Bryan Price said that lefty reliever Sean Marshall (left shoulder) still hasn't made great progress.
Marshall isn't due back until mid-June but in light of such little progress being made, it's probably safe to assume that his target date has been pushed back as well. He is not someone fantasy owners should be tracking anymore though.
Sean Marshall (shoulder) will begin the season on the 15-day disabled list.
No surprise here as Marshall has struggled with the shoulder issue all spring long. When he eventually returns, he'll land himself a set-up job in the pen, but until he strings together a few decent outings, it's tough to consider him fantasy worthy.
