After pitching in 31 games for two teams this year, Peralta has told former teammates he's done. Peralta is now 40 and has thrown 648 career innings. He's had a successful career as a middle reliever.

Seeing how Peralta is a veteran, he's chosen free agency instead of pitching for the Cubs minor league affiliate. He clearly beliefs a major league team will sign him and use him out of their bullpen. The 40-year old has already pitched for two franchises this year and combined for a 5.93 ERA.

Peralta is now 40 years-old and he's clearly trying to compete with Bartolo Colon for oldest pitcher in the league. Kidding aside, Peralta has been in the majors all season but has finally been demoted. He boasts a high 5.93 ERA on the year, it may be his last season.
