Eric Stults will start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.
If the Dodgers are forced to use Stults in their rotation anytime soon, you'll know things are dire. With Los Angeles expected to pick up at least one starting pitchers before next week's deadline, that seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened. Even if Stults does get called up at some point for a spot start, he has zero fantasy value.
Eric Stults has passed through waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Double-A Tulsa.
Stults came over in the six-player trade that sent Jose Uribe to the Braves in May. He will serve as organizational depth for the Dodgers while pitching for Tulsa this season.
Eric Stults cleared waivers and was sent outright to Double-A Tulsa. Stults has the right to decline and become a free agent.
A 5.85 ERA over 47 2/3 innings had Stults reduced to a throw-in for the Juan Uribe/Alberto Callaspo deal between the Braves and Dodgers. He returned to his former team only to be DFA'd and will now likely hang out in the minors. Sure, he can refuse the assignment but after no one claimed him off waivers, where is he realistically going to go?
Dodgers designate LHP Eric Stults for assignment.
Stults was recently acquired in the deal that sent Juan Uribe to Atlanta, but will be immediately removed from the Dodgers' active roster.
