2024 Player Outlook
2023 Recap: Bethancourt is coming off a solid enough year for a mostly-backup catcher with 104 games played and a .225/.254/.381 slash, 11 HR, 49 R, 33 RBI, and a steal. Some of it was a bit of smoke and mirrors, and home park effect, with a .214 xBA, 88.6 EV, and 7.9-percent Brl%.
2024 Outlook: His first year in Miami is looking like a timeshare with Nick Fortes. Why it’s unclear though. Bethancourt is the better bat, but the limited playing time will hold down his counting stats which limits his fantasy value. That being said though, he could hit for 10 HR and a .235 AVG at his best.
