Parmelee comes to Oakland after having spent time in New York in 2016 for a total of eight at bats. He has batted 918 times in the major leagues and posted a .248 AVG despite the 4-for-8 showing with four extra base hits for the Yankees.

Parmelee has been out since June with a hamstring issue. He will return to action, but this time it will be in the minors.

Parmalee is recovering from a hamstring strain and has now is making solid progress on the road to recovery. Parmalee has just 8 AB all season and will likely have a minor role upon his return as well.
