Thursday's 13-game NHL slate is loaded with top-tier scorers featuring a great matchup as Clayton Keller and the Arizona Coyotes face Sean Couturier and the Philadelpha Flyers. We should expect lots of tight games with some great matchups out there, but expect some of the top scorers to shine through still. So, be sure to check in with our NHL DFS Tools, with the daily NHL projections, and our NHL lineup generator when building those lineups today to help you decide which players you should be targeting!

DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

Slates this big are always the most difficult to play, as you have so much variance. The teams that I am keying in on are Detroit (they are playing San Jose so expect lots of people to be doing the same), New Jersey, Arizona, Minnesota and Vancouver. These are all teams that are in the top ten in goals/game over the last two weeks and have reasonably high expected goal totals today. There will be some other teams that could have some good one-off plays such as Chicago, but I would want to focus my energy on the previously mentioned teams if possible.

Top Options for Saves

Dustin Wolf vs Carolina Hurricanes

Philipp Grubauer vs New Jersey Devils

Connor Ingram vs Philadelphia Flyers

Best Odds for a Win

Ville Husso vs San Jose Sharks

Linus Ullmark vs Buffalo Sabres

Cam Talbot vs Montreal Canadiens

Favorite Goalies to Use for DFS Lineups

Connor Ingram, G, Arizona Coyotes

Connor Ingram has been one of the best stories in the NHL this season. He has won five straight games, and ten of his last twelve while posting fantastic numbers. He will face a Flyers team who is putting lots of shots on goal as well which only adds to his value.

Dustin Wolf, G, Calgary Flames

It is hard to know what we will get from Wolf today, but we do know that he is very inexpensive, and he is likely to face a lot of shots against the Hurricanes. Those two things could make him DFS gold. He is one of the better goalie prospects right now, and today we might get a clearer picture of what his future might be.

Linus Ullmark, G, Boston Bruins

In a cash game, I think Ullmark is the play. He is arguably the best goalie in the world right now, who will also face his former team. Nothing is a certainty with goalies, but if I was going to pay up for one today, Ullmark would be my choice.

Recommended DFS Skaters

Highest Expected Goal Totals

Detroit Red Wings vs Mackenzie Blackwood (4.2)

Boston Bruins vs Devon Levi (4.1)

Los Angeles Kings vs Sam Montembeault (4.0)

Favorite Skaters to Use for DFS Lineups

Jack Hughes, C, New Jersey Devils

Hughes has three points in three of his last four games, and he has scored a goal in four straight games. It's hard to deny how good Hughes has been this season when he is healthy, and he is in a great spot facing a Seattle team that is giving up 3.6 goals per game on average over the last two weeks.

Alex DeBrincat, W, Detroit Red Wings

While DeBrincat has come back down to earth after a hot start, he is still getting points, and he is still putting a lot of shots on goal. With him facing the Sharks he should be able to get points, it will just come at a higher cost, and likely with higher ownership, so I would keep his usage to cash games.

Clayton Keller, W, Arizona Coyotes

Keller has five points in his last three games as the Coyotes have started to score more and more goals. The Flyers aren't the sexiest matchup today, but with the rate that Arizona is scoring, I would be willing to take the chance that they will score a lot again today.

Chris Tanev D, Calgary Flames

With the expectation that the Flames will face a lot of shots comes my expectation that Tanev will block enough to get to value. He has three or more blocked shots in four straight games, and today should make five.
