Welcome to another Playbook of NHL DFS picks! We are set to take on a small 5-game slate and there are many games with low scoring goal totals.
There is value to find on this slate and we’ll guide you. Let’s dive right into the action and see which players we need to focus on.
NHL DFS Picks & Daily Fantasy Playbook Today, April 2nd
Before we get into our NHL DFS picks, let’s make some pick’em picks for the night over on Sleeper.
There are lots of ways we try to fill your wallet over here at Fantasy Alarm and this is just another option.
NHL Pick 'Em Picks On Sleeper Fantasy Today
- Sergei Bobrovsky O/23.5 Saves
- Nathan MacKinnon O/3.5 SOG
- Quinn Hughes O/2.5 SOG
Big time matchups for these 3 player props tonight and starting with Bobrovsky who is taking on the Maple Leafs. Toronto is no stranger to piling on shots, but the Florida defense is good at limiting high danger chances. Bob should go over this total easily as the Maple Leafs routinely put up 25-30 shots per game.
MacKinnon against the Blackhawks is just a layup I know wrong sport but still. He is one of the best players in the league playing a team that is allowing 31.1 shots per game this season, you do the math on that and take the over with me.
Closing out the props is Quinn Hughes who is dragging this sorry Canucks team along right now. He's been awesome all season and gets a Kraken team that has already been eliminated from the playoffs, should be a simple mark tonight for the all-star blueliner.
Tuesday Salary Cap NHL DFS Picks
Goalie Of The Day: Igor Shesterkin - NYR
Shesterkin has always been a very good goaltender on home ice throughout his career with the Rangers and I don't see tonight bucking that trend. The Wild are severely lacking on the offensive side right now and have scored just 23 goals over their last 10 games.
This could be a spot where the Ranger goaltender allows just 1 or 2 and gets the win in a game the Rangers really need for the playoff race.
Player Of The Day: Nathan MacKinnon - COL
Who else could be the player of the day on a small slate other than MacKinnon? The former MVP is in a great spot tonight as the Avs take on the Blackhawks who have allowed 45 goals over the past 10 games!
That's a lack of defense on a level we don't see often and MacKinnon and his linemates are going to feast! Avs overall have scored 31 goals in the last 10 games and should net 4 or more tonight.
Value Play Of The Day: Jake DeBrusk - VAN
I really like tonight's spot for the Canucks as they've been filling up the net lately and they are rather top heavy in their overall production. That's where DeBrusk comes in with his 24 goals on the season and top line minutes!
He's just not priced correctly in a slate this small and the advantage he brings is massive in a game that should go over the total. He is also on the top powerplay unit and getting some cheaper exposure to the Quinn Hughes magic is always a great thing.
Stack Of The Day - COL PP1 (Nathan MacKinnon - Martin Necas - Cale Makar)
This is going to be the most popular stack of the night without a doubt, but I just don't feel like a can fade it on just a 5-game slate.
This unit is deadly against anyone but against Chicago who plays no defense to speak of its a massive smash spot for all 3 of these guys and they need to be in your lineups.
