Welcome back for another NHL Playbook! We have a massive nine-game slate with a ton of good options. We can’t pick them all, so we will have to make some tough choices. We also have some goalies in very good spots. Grab your popcorn and your favorite beverage and settle in—we have some work to do!

NHL Pick 'Em At Sleeper Today

Before we get into DFS, let’s make some pick’em picks for the night over on Underdog. There are lots of ways we try to fill your wallet over here at Fantasy Alarm and this is just another option.

Sleeper NHL Picks, Saturday, November 9th:

Noah Dobson's shot total is too low. The Islanders aren’t a very good team, so I expect them to be trailing at some point, so Dobson will be counted on to provide some offense. He has cleared this number in his last four games and should be able to make it five in a row.

William Nylander has scored eight goals in eight games on home ice. The Montreal Canadiens are in town and allowing 4.5 goals against. If anyone is going to score in this game, it’s Nylander.

Martin Necas has 20 points in the last ten games and at least one in eight straight games. Carolina has a tough matchup against the Avalanche in Colorado, but they get Alexandar Georgiev. He was very good in his last start, but he’s still a below-average goalie giving up a ton of goals. This is a smash spot for Necas.

SALARY CAP DFS

Goalie Of The Day: Jeremy Swayman - BOS

It’s been a rough start to the year for Jeremy Swayman-- posting a 3.14 GAA and a .894 sV%-- but there is hope for him tonight. He’s 4-2-0 on home ice with a respectable 2.66 GAA and a .901 SV%. The Senators are 1-5-0 on the road and scoring just 2.50 goals per game. This is a risky play, but the upside is massive. We could see Swayman hit value and more despite his elevated price tag. Let’s hope we can also get him at low ownership.

Play Of The Day: William Nylander - TOR

As mentioned above, William Nylander has scored a goal in every home game and his overall numbers are elite on home ice. The Canadiens just don’t defend well so Nylander is going to get his looks. Even if he doesn’t score, he can still hit value with an assist and the shot bonus.

Value Play Of The Day: Jack Roslovic - CAR

Jack Roslovic has nine goals in the last ten games,  four of which coming on the road. You don’t think of him as a goal-scoring, so that’s maybe why he’s $4100 on DraftKings. Colorado doesn’t defend well and Alexandar Georgiev is horrendous. Carolina is going to get their chances and Roslovic is a great candidate to hit value.

Stack Of The Day - LAK PP1 (Adrien Kempe - Kevin Fiala - Brandt Clake)

The Los Angeles Kings have the highest implied team total (4.0) and are facing a Columbus team that is ranked 28th in goals against on the road. You can get Kevina Fiala, Adrian Kempa and Brandt Clarke for a combined $17.2K on DK, which is quite reasonable. I’m not too hot on the Kings' power play, but I like the correlation we get with Kempe/Fiala five-on-five.
