Monday Salary Cap DFS Picks

Goalie Of The Day: Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen

It took me a good long think to determine my goalie of the day and while there are safe options at the top, I am going off the beaten path and backing a goaltender that is primed for a big performance against a weak offensive team in the Blackhawks. 

Chicago also scores just 2.35 goals per game on the road this season which is the 3rd fewest by team in the NHL this season. This sets up Luukkonen with a great floor for the game but also could be on shutout alert compared to the rest of the slate!

Play Of The Day: Cale Makar - COL

There are plenty of great options among the skaters tonight and I won't blame anyone from elevating others over the play of the day but to me the difference in the slate tonight is Makar as he is poised for a massive outing per most statistical models and the Utah Hockey Club allows 8th most DFS points to blue liners on the season. 

Makar is also on the heels of a 5-game point streak in which he has 9 total points and 22 shots on goal. When players are on a heater like this you need to take notice, so he is my play of the day.  

 

 

 

Value Play Of The Day: Dylan Cozens - BUF

Back to Buffalo here as they finally won a game and now maybe the flood gates with open? Could be wishful thinking but I like the matchup all the way around for the Sabres tonight and Cozens should see a bunch of minutes on the 2nd forward line and PP 2 unit. 

The Blackhawks also allow the 7th most DFS points to centers on the season and Cozens has 3 points over his past 3 games!

Stack Of The Day: VGK PP1 (Jack Eichel, Mark Stone & Shea Theodore)

One of the best matchups on the board tonight is more than deserving of a stack and why not as the Sharks play sloppy defense and this group of Golden Knights on the powerplay is hitting at 26.9% so far this season which is the 4th best in the NHL. 

Really not overthinking anything in this playbook today so lockdown the powerplay for Vegas here tonight.
