Eichel suffered the injury on March 17. After that contest, Eichel went on to score nine goals and 15 points in 19 contests. Those numbers are solid on their own, but certainly get more impressive when you consider that he was scoring those goals in spite of a thumb injury.

Eichel scored the game-tying goal, 2-2, in the second frame and he added an assist on on Zach Whitecloud's game-tying goal just over ssix minutes after his own goal. The Golden Knights forward added an insurance marker in the third frame, too. Eichel went through a lot this year, as he rehabbed a serious neck injury while being traded from Buffalo to Vegas. He had 14 goals and 25 points in 34 games with his new team in 2021-22. 

Eichel found the back of the net for the game's first goal at the 12:02 mark of the opening period. The 25-year-old got absolutely robbed of a second goal by Thatcher Demko who stoned him later on in the game on a beautiful opportunity. Eichel has 10 goals and 18 points in 24 games with the Vegas Golden Knights. 

It was an important road win for Vegas who are in a fight for their lives as far as a playoff spot goes in the Western Conference. Eichel scored his eighth and ninth goals as he opened the scoring to give the Golden Knights a 2-0 lead. Shea Theodore, Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson also scored for Vegas. Eichel has 16 points in 22 games this season and should be in someone's lineup in fantasy at this time.
