Panthers vs. Predators Prediction: Tuesday, February 25th

Anybody that has followed the NHL this season knows the Nashville experiment this season has been a complete failure from the start, and they will stay in the hole they dug for the rest of the season the way things are going.

They’ve now lost 3 of the last 10 games and their star goaltender Juuse Saros has had one of his worst statistical seasons ever. At 12-29 straight up with a 2.9 GAA I hardly think he turns it around today and against a team like the defending champs it could be a long evening for the Predators.

Speaking of those Panthers, they’ve played well of late winning 6 of the last 10 and are a very competitive road team as well at 17-11-1 on the season. They will start Spencer Knight in goal and even as the backup to Sergei Bobrovsky his numbers have been better with a 2.47 GAA and .906 SV%.

This gives the Panthers the edge tonight in goaltending in addition to the team in front of him being superior as well so give me Florida to win this game in regulation tonight on the 60-Minute Money Line.

 

 

 

Ducks vs. Sabres Prediction: Tuesday, February 25th

The Ducks are playing much better hockey than they did to start the season. I will concede them that, but they still are allowing so many pucks on net that it caught my attention for a player prop tonight! 

On the road, the Ducks allow the 2nd most shots on goal per game in the NHL this season at 33.9. That number is going to be exploited by some of the Buffalo’s talented forwards but namely Tage Thompson. 

Thompson leads the Sabres with 98 total shots in home games this season in 27 played and yet his prop sits at 4 shots on goal at plus money. That’s a head scratcher to me but we will take those odds all day long, so let’s go hit it!
