Best NFL Thursday Night Football Player Prop Picks
When we say that division rivalries can be more difficult to predict, a perfect example was another NFC East showdown, also on prime time, last season with the Washington Commanders upsetting the then-10-1 Philadelphia Eagles.
It was a perfect game to have angles like our NFL TNF player prop picks for this week, and given this matchup, there are several glaring narratives that fans are clinging onto. One of which plays a major role in the approach to the first of our Cowboys vs. Giants player props picks.
Cowboys vs. Giants Player Props: Devin Singletary Over 14.5 Carries (-114 at FanDuel)
Following Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens, all the talk has been about the Cowboys defense, and specifically, their run defense. Anytime Dallas does anything even remotely of note, it dominates headlines, and when they allow 274 rushing yards, there was never a doubt that would make waves.
It was actually even worse than that, as 161 of those yards were before first contact, meaning that their defensive front was simply getting blown off the ball. That is sure to have fans wanting to target the Giants running game, and oddsmakers are also aware of that.
This means that New York RB Devin Singletary’s rushing prop has been inflated in comparison to where we think it should be. We’re not saying that the Cowboys rushing defense isn’t awful, but we don’t exactly think that the Giants’ offensive line is elite either. So, we have a slightly different approach for our NFL TNF player prop picks.
We expect New York to copycat the Ravens in terms of trying to exploit Dallas’ rushing defense. However, we aren’t willing to trust Singletary being Derrick Henry. Therefore, we’re just going to focus on the opportunities to be there and take over 14.5 carries (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook) instead.
Cowboys vs. Giants Player Prop Bets: CeeDee Lamb Anytime TD Scorer (-110 at FanDuel)
Another talking point coming out of the Cowboys’ loss was that of WR CeeDee Lamb’s unhappiness on the sideline. The superstar wideout was able to get paid just before the season after being the #1 scoring WR in fantasy last season.
We expect him to come out and silence the noise surrounding his visual displeasure after seeing TE Jake Ferguson lead the team in receiving on Sunday. After all, Lamb absolutely torched the Giants the last time these teams faced off.
Lamb went absolutely nuts with 11 receptions on 14 targets for 151 yards and a touchdown. We’re eyeing him to find the endzone again on Thursday night rather than his yardage prop, as it’s often one of the highest in terms of receiving yards in the entire NFL. New York may have won this past weekend, but they also allowed WR Amari Cooper (former Cowboy) to find the endzone twice!
With that in mind, we’ll go with a current Dallas WR and take CeeDee Lamb to score an anytime touchdown (-110 at FanDuel Sportsbook) with our NFL TNF player prop picks.
