When it comes to the Lions defense, much of the same from last season is what we’ve seen. That means that attacking them through the air is the preferred approach. To further amplify that, their rushing defense has been excellent thus far, allowing just 76.7 yards per game on the ground!

That’s good for fourth-best in the NFL, while their passing defense is in the bottom half of the league. Admittedly, the numbers aren’t as bad as last year, but we still trust the strong WR core of the Seahawks. After all, we saw DK Metcalf have some unbelievable snags just last weekend.

While it was only four total receptions, he went for 104 yards and a touchdown. Well, now we’re targeting the other star WR in Seattle to find the endzone. These teams met almost exactly a year ago in Week 3 of last season. In that matchup, while Metcalf led the team in receiving yards, Locket found the endzone twice!

He has yet to find the paint yet this year, but he’s coming off a game with eight targets, so QB Geno Smith is certainly trying to get him there. Seahawks vs. Lions Player Prop Bets: Sam LaPorta Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

The second of our Seahawks vs. Lions player props may not quite have the same +250 odds, but it’s still a spot that we love. With how Seattle has looked defensively, we were scouring for a great under play.

However, the Seahawks have had the luxury of facing a Broncos team led by a rookie QB that was making his NFL debut, a Patriots team that is sure to be one of the worst offenses all season and a Dolphins offense that is decimated by injury. So, we aren’t so sure that their numbers are a bit of fool’s gold.

So, we’re still going to take an over on a guy that fantasy football managers and Detroit fans alike have been waiting to return to form. That would be star TE Sam LaPorta, who we saw return to full practice on Friday. That’s great news for the Lions, as despite Seattle’s great defensive numbers, they were recently exploited by the TE position.

That was two Sundays ago against a suspect New England offense. We saw TE Hunter Henry have a career day, going for 109 yards on eight receptions. Given LaPorta’s slow start to the season, we’re provided a very low line for what he is capable of.
