Best NFL Divisional Saturday Player Prop Picks

Just like it did on Wild Card Weekend, the very first game of the playoff round begins with the Houston Texans. This time, they’ll be on the road taking on the Kansas City Chiefs, which has led to quite a significant point spread. Similarly, the Detroit Lions are massive favorites over the Washington Commanders in the night game.

In other words, huge home favorites of #1 seeds can make sticking to the standard markets even more difficult, which is where our Divisional Saturday player prop picks come in. It’s also worth noting that the Texans vs. Chiefs game is a rematch of just before Christmas, so we have some recent history to pull from.

Texans vs. Chiefs Player Props: Travis Kelce Anytime TD Scorer (+160 at BetMGM Sportsbook)

Having just mentioned the first game of the weekend being a recent rematch, that’s where our Divisional Saturday player prop picks begin. Our NFL Saturday player props for Wild Card Weekend began with Houston RB Joe Mixon to go over 69.5 rushing yards, which he easily hit for us by going for 106 yards!

So, is it time to target the former Cincinnati Bengal again? Well, now facing quite a stout run defense in Kansas City, we’re looking elsewhere. Specifically, we’re going to completely shift gears and target the Chiefs side of the matchup.

It may not be the most polarizing pick given the long-term success of TE Travis Kelce, but we’re going to trust him to get his revenge on Houston this Saturday. We phrase it that way as his numbers were far from impressive when these teams met on the Sunday prior to Christmas Day.

The future Hall-of-Famer had just 30 receiving yards; so, why are we targeting him now? Well, following that game, Kelce went for 84 yards on eight catches and a touchdown. Houston’s defense has actually allowed the fourth-most receiving touchdowns to TEs this year, so we’d consider that previous performance more of an outlier.

Kelce also had seven targets in that game, so it’s not as if he wasn’t involved. It’s important to keep in mind that not only did Kelce and the Chiefs have off last weekend being the #1 seed, but they also rested the TE in Week 17. Oh, and he has 19 career playoff touchdowns, including three multi-touchdown postseason games!

With all that in mind, we’re kicking off our Divisional Saturday player prop picks with Travis Kelce to score an anytime touchdown (+160 at BetMGM Sportsbook).

Commanders vs. Lions Player Props: Jayden Daniels Over 33.5 Pass Attempts (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook)

Swapping to the second of the two Saturday games brings us to Ford Field with the other #1 seed in the Lions hosting the #7 seed Commanders. Washington continues to defy all expectations and based on a whopping total of 55.5 points for this game, we look to be in store for a shootout.

That means that there should be all kinds of opportunities for Divisional Saturday player prop picks, but we’re still going to pinpoint our favorite spot for you. That would be the Washington side of the matchup, which is not only the rookie sensation, but the star that came through for us last weekend.

With the Lions listed as massive favorites, the chances seem extremely likely that Washington will be trailing in this matchup. That means throwing often to catch up, which will also likely be needed just to keep pace. A weapon like WR Terry McLaurin provides a great target for Daniels, and we expect the rookie to rack up the attempts.

Keeping Week 18 as an outlier (he was pulled early to rest), Daniels has had eight straight games of 30+ attempts, including 36+ four times and 35 just last weekend. Detroit’s success and explosive offense has forced teams to throw early and often against them, which is why they are the team with the fourth-most passing attempts against them.

Consider taking the yardage prop here as well, but we'll be adding to our Divisional Saturday player prop picks with Jayden Daniels over 33.5 pass attempts (-115 at BetMGM Sportsbook).
