It’s finally that time of the NFL slate - the finale of the week with Monday Night Football. With the two-time defending-champion Kansas City Chiefs being at home, it’s no surprise that they’re a massive favorite over the banged up Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With that in mind, we’ve got other ways to approach the game with our best NFL MNF player prop picks.

We’ve found Buccaneers vs. Chiefs player props that we’ve loved since they were first posted, and along with great spots, we also have a guaranteed $200 DraftKings Sportsbook sign up bonus for you!

Best NFL Monday Night Football Player Prop Picks

As mentioned, targeting such a significant point spread nearing double digits is something many fans struggle with, and if you’re not partial towards either side of the total, NFL MNF player prop picks may be for you. It also doesn’t hurt that there are plenty of stars to target.

Admittedly, there would be more if the Bucs WR duo of Chris Godwin and Mike Evans were healthy, and while the latter is making his way back, their situations are part of why Tampa is such a heavy underdog.

Of course, on the other side we have a two-time MVP in QB Patrick Mahomes and their new trade acquisition of WR DeAndre Hopkins. We’ll be targeting one of those with our NFL MNF player prop picks, but first, the Tampa side of our Buccaneers vs. Chiefs player props.

Buccaneers vs. Chiefs Player Props: Cade Otton Over 50.5 Receiving Yards (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

He may not have the name recognition of Godwin or Evans, but given how TE Cade Otton has burst onto the scene recently, that could quickly change. Truthfully, for fantasy football owners, it already has.

On National Tight End’s Day last Sunday, Otton absolutely went off to the tune of nine catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns. That was just a week removed from his 100-yard performance against the Baltimore Ravens.

He also had 10 targets in both of those games, and with a depleted offense now more than ever, there is no reason to expect that to decrease. Similarly, he actually has a great matchup. That may sound strange on the surface given the Chiefs overall excellent defense, but they struggle against TEs specifically.

In fact, that’s putting it lightly for the defending champs. Kansas City has allowed the third-most fantasy points against TEs heading into the Week 9 slate, and in terms of yards specifically, 566 was the second-most. However, they’ve allowed just two touchdowns to TEs, which is why we’re sticking with Otton’s yardage prop.

Along with his last two games that we shared, we’re starting our NFL MNF player prop picks with Cade Otton over 50.5 receiving yards (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook).

Buccaneers vs. Chiefs Player Prop Bets: Patrick Mahomes Over 20.5 Rushing Yards (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

As promised, we’re also targeting one of the KC players we mentioned for your Buccaneers vs. Chiefs player props, and surprise - it’s Mahomes! Sarcasm aside, we know that some may be growing tired of the superstar QB, but we’re not going to ignore value.

Much like the Chiefs defense has a specific component for us to exploit, the same can be said about the Tampa Bay defense. We’ve all seen the ridiculous scrambles that Mahomes has pulled off, so while his volume of rushes hasn’t been quite as high this season, he’s still averaging five of them per game.

We fully expect that to translate to yards given the matchup with the Bucs. Seeing that Tampa allows the absolute most fantasy points to QBs (heading into Week 9) may have fans assuming it’s thanks to allowing plenty of yards through the air and touchdowns through the air. While that is true, it isn’t their only weakness.

They’ve also allowed 255 rushing yards to QBs, which is only ahead of the Cincinnati Bengals as the worst in the NFL, again, heading into the Week nine games. The KC QB loves to show out in prime time, so we’re adding to our NFL MNF player prop picks with Patrick Mahomes over 20.5 rushing yards (-115 at DraftKings Sportsbook).
