Best NFL Monday Night Football Player Prop Picks

There is sure to be a large number of fans preferring NFL MNF player prop picks for Week 6 specifically with all the new variables thrown into the mix. As we’re sure you’ve seen, New York not only fired former head coach Robert Saleh, but they also took away the play-calling role from Nathaniel Hackett.

Does that mean the Jets will now run a more modern style of offense or will QB Aaron Rodgers still have his way? Until we see the answer to that for sure, our Bills vs. Jets player props are going to be a bit unique in comparison to our normal weekly NFL MNF player prop picks. That’s because we’re focused on just the Buffalo side, but let us explain why.

Bills vs. Jets Player Props: Josh Allen Over 33.5 Rushing Yards (-113 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

Before we even get into the first of our NFL MNF player prop picks - a bit of a spoiler. We are actually going to be taking Bills QB Josh Allen for both picks, but before thinking that they are contradictory, trust us when we say that we have good reasons as to why they aren’t.

Firstly, Allen has been Superman for the Bills since bursting onto the scene. In fact, that is often the knock on him and the Buffalo organization - that they rely on him to do literally everything. For example, Allen leads the team in rushing more often than not, despite being the signal caller. And this player prop was initially going to be Josh Allen over 5.5 rushing attempts, but FanDuel took that one off the board.

Admittedly, new RB James Cook has been an improvement from recent years, but he’s now dealing with injury. He’s expected to play, but it’s all but 100% that he is NOT 100%. Therefore, we expect more called runs for Allen to go along with the times he tucks and runs to begin with.

In his career against the Jets, he has nine or more rushing attempts in six games, and over the most recent six, he’s never rushed fewer than five times, including two of those nine-plus rush games. So, we’re starting our NFL MNF player prop picks with Josh Allen over 33.5 rushing yards (-113 at FanDuel Sportsbook).

Bills vs. Jets Player Prop Bets: Josh Allen Over 197.5 Passing Yards (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

So, we expect Allen to tuck and run plenty on Monday night, so how on Earth are we also taking the over on his passing yards prop? Before we even get into any analysis, we’re getting sheer value thanks to FanDuel, and significant value at that.

It’s not rare to see different books have yardage prop differ by a yard or two, but this is listed as high as 206.5 yards elsewhere! Also, seeing a passing yards prop under 200 for one of the league’s best QBs is wild as well, which also speaks to his tendency to run, supporting our pick above!

Regardless, we noted that Allen was like Superman for the Bills because he truly can do it all. A perfect example of that is against the Jets. We already shared some rushing numbers against New York, but the passing trends are far more convincing.

In 10 career games against the Jets, Allen has thrown for fewer than 200 yards just once (we are omitted one game in which he was injured and threw just five passes). That includes both games last season in which he threw for 236 and 275 yards.

So, for any argument that rosters have changed across those 10 games, the Jets secondary looks largely the same, and it doesn’t end there. New York CB Michael Carter II is expected to be out on Monday night, which only further supports our NFL MNF player prop picks. With all that in mind, we’re also locking in Josh Allen over 197.5 passing yards (-114 at FanDuel Sportsbook).
