Yesterday’s NBA best bets had two successful predictions, but it was not quite Meatloaf. There were four wagers suggested, with a total of 3.5 units, and two NBA picks were successful. The boosted four fold parlay came in at +217, and the teased up prediction of the Toronto Raptors spread at +165 was also successful. It could have been teased much higher.

Due to the two successful wagers, +2.32 units were earned yesterday. Winning two wagers yesterday was great, a good return on investment is better, but sweeping NBA best bets is much more preferred.

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today: 2/24

That is the goal today as our NBA best bets return back to three player propositions. There are eight games tonight, but only one nationally televised match.

Most teams are playing in the second of back-to-back games and most teams are in a ranking battle. Including the match in our Bet of the Night.

Heat vs. Hawks Prediction: Trae Young U29.5 Points (-115 on Bet365) *Bet of the Night

The Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks are eighth and ninth place in the Eastern Conference, and only 1.0 games separate their standings. With a win Atlanta would pull to even with Miami, should Miami win they would improve to 2.0 games ahead of the Hawks. It should be a tough game despite both teams losing yesterday.

Trae Young has been on fire, doing everything he can to offensively carry the Hawks. He has scored 38 points in each of his last three games, and over 39.5 points in six of his last eight matches. But tonight against a tough Miami Heat team, we are taking the under.

As mentioned, the Hawks had a tough loss against the Detroit Pistons in a game in which the last minute of the fourth quarter took about 15 minutes of real time. Young has been a scoring and passing machine this season, and he will likely look to pass first against the Heat’s good perimeter defense.

Put a unit for him to return near his average of 24.2 points tonight, and if you do not have Bet365 make sure to take advantage of Fantasy Alarm’s promotional offer at the end of this column.

Bulls vs. 76ers Prediction: Nikola Vucevic O10.5 Rebounds (-110 on DraftKings)

Nikola Vucevic has been so good to Fantasy Alarm, and we betrayed him by slapping him on a same game parlay. Not today friends, as The Well travels to the Wells Fargo Center to play the team that he played for his rookie season, the Philadelphia 76ers.

Joel Embiid is listed as day-to-day but there are discussions of shutting him down for the remainder of the season. The 76ers also have five players either listed as questionable or out for today’s match, and Vucevic could be playing against Andre Drummond and the third string center.

Vucevic has covered this prop in two of his last three matches, and six of his last ten games. He is averaging over ten rebounds per game this season, and should earn over 10.5 rebounds against a tanking 76ers team.

The Chicago Bulls were able to rest, and should be ready to earn their first victory since February fourth. Put a unit on Vucevic to keep earning Fantasy Alarm money with over 10.5 rebounds.

NBA Player Props & Other Picks Today, 2/24

The Bulls aren’t the only team who is rested coming into this match.

The Denver Nuggets have a day's rest advantage over the Indiana Pacers, and our NBA best bets today look to profit from it.

Nuggets vs. Pacers Prediction: Michael Porter Jr. O6.5 Rebounds (-120 on DraftKings)

Michael Porter Jr. is an underrated player, who is capable of doing the unnoticed work for a championship team. He went on a scoring tear prior to his injury before the All-Star break, but has not scored as well after it. Since February seventh he has scored over six points just once.

However, he has played great defense and been rebounding above his average. In fact, he has recorded seven or more rebounds in his last six games. Teammate Jamal Murray is on one of his famous point streaks, ‘Murray Flurries’. When that happens Murray becomes a more ball dominant point guard, and has a score first, pass second mindset.

That leaves Porter Jr. with less opportunities to score, as is the third or fourth scoring option for the Nuggets. So he attacks the glass, looking for second chance offensive opportunities and grabs defensive rebounds for a fast break.  He is also the second leading rebounder for Denver with 359 this season.

The Indiana Pacers allow around the league median of 52.9 rebounds per game. They play with an incredible pace, and it allows more field goal attempts per game. The Pacers are also playing on the second of back-to-back games and will be attempting field goals on tired legs. This should lead to more defensive rebounding opportunities for Porter. Jr.

As tempting as it is to tease up Porter Jr.’s rebound line, take the offer on the over 6.5. And if you are feeling risky, build a ladder on it. For the purpose of this column put one unit for him to record over 6.5 rebounds.
