Oh how close we were to a sweep yesterday. The Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves by one point. The spread was safe, but the moneyline fell just short, as Minnesota snapped a four game losing streak. 

The Orlando Magic won, and the New York Knicks won, however the Knicks didn’t cover a massive teased down spread. Seeking even odds hurt this bet, as the Knicks fell one field goal short of the teased down line.

Mavericks vs Jazz Prediction: Same Game Parlay - DAL ML, Dereck Lively 10+ Points, 10+ Rebounds (+550 on DraftKings) *0.5 Unit

Dereck Lively is having a good season, and he has worked himself into the starting lineup for the Dallas Mavericks. The Jazz destroyed the Mavericks in their most recent game, and the Mavericks should look to counter tonight as Dallas is 6.5 point favorites on the road. Lively II has achieved a double-double in just one of his last ten games, but with a ‘no sweat’ option it is less risky. As with most same game parlays a half a unit is suggested. Hawks vs Hornets Prediction: Clint Capela Over 9.5 Rebounds (-120 on BetMGM) 

Clint Capela has never been given the credit he deserves as one of the best rebounders in the Association. He may never crack the top 25 all-time rebounders, but he has 6,687 career NBA rebounds. That is not easy to do

The current Atlanta Hawks Center also averages 0.4 rebounds per minutes played, that is almost half a rebound for every minute he is on the floor. That is impressive, and Capela would have even larger numbers if he played more minutes. 

This season he is averaging just 22.6 minutes and 8.6 rebounds per game. His rebounds have been up lately, and he has 11 or more rebounds in every game he’s played over the past two weeks. 

Today Capela and the Hawks are hosting the Charlotte Hornets at State Farm Arena. Charlotte is coming off a tough, 1 point loss match against the New York Knicks yesterday. Capela should have a rebounding advantage against anyone on the court, and this bet should be successful if he plays over his average minutes. 

As of now his biggest threat is his teammate, Jalen Johnson. The highest rebounding line for any Hornet player is currently 5.5. We are going to trust the Swiss big man to do what he does best. Rebound the ball ten or more times, and cash this ticket.

Tyrese Maxey is back and playing well, but Joel Embiid is the biggest disappointment for Philadelphia since the Union and Phillies lost their championship games on November 5, 2022. He is hurting the hearts of loyal Philadelphia sports fans, and the Embiid era in Philadelphia has turned out to be one, big, what-if. 

Paul George has been almost completely ineffective, and the 76ers’ season is practically over before December. The Pistons have already surpassed their expectations, but after last year the bar literally could not be set lower.

They are currently 9-12 and won their most recent game. They are 4-5 at home and could move to .500 or beyond with a victory today and NBA Cup Tuesday. The spread is really close due to the fact that the Pistons played yesterday. However, they blew out the Indiana Pacers 130-106 and their starters did not have to play with as much effort late in the game.
