My most recent NBA Best Bets were posted Thursday, but it was a smashing day, with Meatloaf on the menu! Thus far, this column has won 21.14 units and looks to get to thirty as soon as possible.

There was only one game yesterday and the Oklahoma City Thunder came out victorious against the Portland Trail Blazers.

NBA Picks, Predictions & Best Bets Today, 1/27

The betting slate is loaded today, with twelve NBA games, two of which are nationally televised.

With so many matches, Fantasy Alarm NBA Best Bets is offering four predictions tonight! Every one of them are at plus odds as well.

Hawks vs. Timberwolves Prediction: Anthony Edwards Over 5.5 Assists (+115 on Bet365) *Bet of the Night

Anthony Edwards displayed his greatness against the Denver Nuggets a few nights ago. He scored 34 points and earned 9 assists in a beatdown at the Target Center. He is also the target of the other team, the Nuggets were no exception, but Edwards teammates delivered with bucket after bucket.

Edwards is the most double-teamed player in the Association and was oftentimes triple teamed against the Nuggets. He is showing his maturity in the league in more ways than a willingness to pass the ball. He has reached out to former veterans on how to play the double-teams he is experiencing. Including a former player who knows a thing or two about pressure, Michael Jordan.

The Timberwolves are not a dependable team that can string together consistent wins. But Edwars has been consistent with his assists as of late. He has seven or more in each of his last two games, and three of his last five. He did have a career high in averages per game, but the number has slipped to 4.4.

That is why his proposition is at plus odds against the team with an extremely high pace. The Atlanta Hawks allow 118.9 points per game, have lost four games in a row, and could have personal issues against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Place a unit for Edwards to have six or more assists against a poor defensive team.

Pelicans vs. Raptors Prediction: Scottie Barnes Double-Double (+135 on Bet365)

The Fantasy Alarm Betting Bungalow can not quit putting wagers on Scottie Barnes, and that continues today. The Toronto Raptors host the lowly New Orleans Pelicans at ScotiaBank Arena, and look to add to their winning streak.

The Raptors have won three games in a row and have an opportunity to be above .500 (over their last ten games) for the first time this season. That is an opportunity they do not take lightly, and one they should capitalize on against a team who has a worse record than their own.

Barnes rebounding line is at 8.5 with slightly juiced odds. His assists line is set at 6.5 and has positive odds on the over. So instead of taking the over on a juiced up rebounding line, the double-double at +135 is suggested.

Barnes has scored 10 or more points in each of his last ten games, and has recorded a double-double in three of his last four games. Two of them were achieved with rebounding, and one of them with assists. He also has two more games with ten or more rebounds and has a double-double in five of his last seven matches.

The Pelicans allow 54.9 rebounds per game, have allowed an average of 59.0 rebounds over their past three games, and allow an average of 55.4 in games on the road. Barnes is an excellent rebounder and will take advantage of a lazy and young frontcourt. Put a unit on him to cover the double-double, most likely with rebounds.

NBA Player Props & Other Picks Today, 1/27

Twelve games means all but six teams are in action tonight. Of those twenty-four teams playing, one match features players we have bet on quite often.

There are two more NBA best bets coming from the Chicago Bulls versus the Denver Nuggets.

Nuggets vs. Bulls Prediction: Denver ML & Christian Braun O12.5 Points (+121 SGP on FanDuel)

The Fantasy Alarm has done a deep dive on Christian Braun and has bet on his points in each of his last five games. He has covered his point proposition in four of his last five games, and one of those games was an extremely profitable ladder.

This week the expectation is for him to cover what is a moved up point line, at 12.5. He has scored 20 or more in three of his last four games, and four of his last six. A large part of that is due to his fast break ability which has earned him a Fantasy Alarm nickname, The Fast Break Kid.

The Denver Nuggets have more fastbreak points than any team in the Association. Braun earns most of his points in this manner, although he is more than capable of making threes as well. He works with two of the most elite passers to ever touch a basketball, and his points benefit from it. Russell Westbrook and Nikola Jokic are actively seeking him out on transitions, and his other teammates look for him cutting to the rim on set offenses.

The Denver Nuggets are favorites to win, and should have a bounce back performance after almost three full days of rest since their last match. Put a unit on the same game parlay and if a bettor wants to tease up Braun’s points, by all means do so.

NBA Parlay Prediction: Denver & Miami Money Line (+154 on Bet365) *0.5 Unit

The last bet of the night is also a parlay, with the Denver Nuggets moneyline added onto the Miami Heat’s money line. As mentioned the Nuggets are well rested, and were truly embarrassed by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Denver is a championship team that have won twelve of their last sixteen matches. Championship team’s bounce back after a bad performance, and do not allow themselves to amass several losses in a row. Especially against a team (Chicago Bulls) that has ten more losses on the season than they do

The Miami Heat are truly a risk, with their spread currently at +1, The Heat are playing on their court at the Kaseya Center, have Jimmy Butler back, and playing against an injured Orlando Magic team. The Magic have lost seven of their last ten matches, and have really been on a downward spiral.

The Magic are currently in seventh and only 0.5 games ahead of the Heat. The Heat can leapfrog their instate rival with a win, and possibly move two spots ahead in the Eastern Conference. The Detroit Pistons are only 0.5 games ahead of the Heat, are +10.5 underdogs against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and if that game goes as predicted, the Heat would be out of the play-in and in sixth spot.

This would be a great get right game for the Miami Heat who have had plenty of distractions lately. Put half a unit on this parlay with great odds and cheer on the Heat and Nuggets.
