NBA Best Bets Today, 2/14: Hawks vs. Hornets Same Game Parlay

Tre Mann Player Props: PG, Charlotte Hornets

The Hornets were a busy team at the trade deadline with one of those moves being the deal that sent Gordon Hayward to the Thunder in exchange for a package of players which included guard Tre Mann. With LaMelo Ball out with an injury and Terry Rozier now playing in Miami, there was a need for someone to step up and fill in as the starting point guard and Mann has done just that with his new team. 

In his two games as a member of the Hornets, Mann is averaging 10.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game. Tonight, the Hornets find themselves at home in an up-tempo matchup against the Atlanta Hawks in a game with a 238.5 game total. 

Mann saw 34 minutes in his second game with the Hornets and if there is one thing we know about head coach Steve Clifford, it's that he likes to play his starters big minutes. We are going to bet on the continued playmaking success from Mann tonight and target his assist prop which is set at 5.5 assists across the books.

 

Jalen Johnson Player Props: PF, Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks are in an interesting spot here tonight against the Hornets because they will be without starting center Clint Capela and backup center Onyeka Okongwu, both of whom are out with an injury. My initial thought was to grab the rebound prop for Johnson here today which was set at 9.5 but at -115, so I then took a look at his double-double prop which was at -105. 

If I felt confident in him hitting the over 9.5, I might as well save some of juice and just go for the double-double play here this evening. The Hornets are not a team that's afraid to play with a small ball lineup and Johnson is no stranger to recording double-doubles this season even when Capela and Okongwu have been active.
